"Gag"

We arrive at the In-House restaurant. The place where me and Ime first met.

We walk inside and the bell rings.

I look around the restaurant.

"Where is he?" I said.

The boy points up. "The roof." he walks in front of us. "Follow me," he added.

The boy leads us through the restaurant into the kitchen and out the back to a ladder that goes to the roof.

I look at the ladder to the roof. "Here we go."

I start to climb the ladder and the boy says something to me. "Remember he's not himself," he said.

I nod yes and climb the ladder.

As soon as I'm on the roof I'm greeted by a beautiful sunset and the smell of food coming from the vent.

I see Ime alone staring at the sunset.

I walk up to him and I'm immediately repelled by a stronger smell.

I gag and Ime turns to look at me with a blunt in his mouth.

"Hey," he said and looked back at the sunset. "Welcome back."

I cough waving off the smoke. "I should be the one welcoming you. What are you doing here?"

"I came to see Eris. I promise to visit her. So I'm just keeping my promise."

I walk up beside him. "How was that?"

"Normal."

I chuckle. "You're lying.,"

Ime looks at me. "You know everything has been becoming mundane lately."

I look at him. "Mundane?"

"Complacent. You know, the same."

"Nothing changing?"

"Just more mundaneness."

I lean in closer. "You aren't mundane."

Ime laugh. "Am I unordinary?"

"You are. Nobody would've thrown money at me so casually." I take a second to think. "Except for your boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?"

"Yeah, some boy paid me to meet you."

Ime sigh. "I should've known Kaleb had something to do with this."

I tap him on the shoulder. "You're welcome by the way."

Ime goes back to looking at the sunset.

"You aren't like the rest either."

I tilt my head. "I'm not?"

He's right I don't fit in with people.
Never thought someone would notice.

I play with my hair.

"Don't be shy. Say what you're thinking," he said.

"You're kinda hot when you're high."

"You're kinda hot when I'm high too."

My face turns red. "Stop flirting."

"You're the flirt."

"You're not helping."

I shift around. "Anyways, I heard you have been kinda lonely. Wanna talk about it?"

Ime's tone shift. "You want to know?"

I shrug. "I rather not get involved honestly, but you know."

"No, I don't."

I try to get closer. "So, you aren't going to tell me."

"You'll understand but you're not ready for it."

"Whatcha mean?"

Ime looks at me. "What do you think about us?"

I rub my chin. "I don't know."

Ime grin. "You're an idiot."

"Hey!"

Ime leans close to me and our eyes lock onto each other.

"Anyway, I'll be waiting till you're ready."

His phone rings. He looks at it and answers it.

"I'll be on the way," he said then hung up.

"I got to go," he said.

He starts to walk away and says. "Just know I love you."

"You're just saying that," I said walking after him.
