The Celestial City was renowned for its ethereal beauty, but hidden corners held secret spots known only to a few. One such location was the Garden of Whispers, a sanctuary of silvery flora and phosphorescent fauna. Here, amidst a grove of starlit willows, Maeryn and Aria found solace away from prying eyes.

On a night when the stars seemed to sing, the two angels sat close together, their fingers entwined. The atmosphere was charged with a different energy, one of anticipation and vulnerability.

"Being with you," Aria began, her voice soft, "has been like rediscovering a song I'd forgotten but always loved."

Maeryn looked into Aria's eyes, seeing depths of emotion she'd only begun to fathom. "I never believed in connections that felt ordained, but with you, it's different. It's like our souls knew each other before we did."

The space between them diminished, their lips meeting in a kiss that was both gentle and fierce. It was a culmination of their shared experiences, the challenges they'd faced, and the promise of what lay ahead.

Yet, as they pulled apart, Aria's eyes held a hint of sorrow. "Mae, baby, there's something you should know. Selene... she wasn't just someone from my past. Our bond was deep, and her return might complicate things."

Maeryn sighed, her heart heavy with a mix of jealousy and understanding. "Every story has its ghosts, my love. But it's the present that matters. We can face any shadow as long as we stand together."

Their moment of intimacy was interrupted by a distant sound, an eerie melody that seemed all too familiar to Aria. It was a tune she'd once danced to, a song from her past with Selene. The melody was a haunting reminder that while the embers of their affection burned bright, the specter of history threatened to overshadow their blossoming relationship.

With a determined glint in her eye, Maeryn whispered, "Let the past try. Our bond is stronger than any ghost."

A/N:

I love Mae and Aria's bond so much and they are communicating. Mae is also not blowing up and is understanding, yay character growth.
