CHAPTER 13 - Know Your Frenemies

Right now Taylor's mom had just pulled up the car so Taylor and Hanna could meet up with Emily and Spencer. "Thanks for driving us." Hanna thanks as she unbuckles her seatbelt and getting ready to get out of the car. However, before they could leave their mother interrupts them.

"Hanna, Taylor. I'm your mother. Since when do either of you thank me for taking you anywhere." She questions.

"Look, we feel really guilty mom. We both can't stop thinking about the money. I'd feel better if you'd yell at me. I don't know about Hanna but I definitely will." Taylor tells her mom from the backseat of the car poking her head through the middle.

This causes her mom to chuckle humorlessly, "Well if I thought it would bring back the cash."

"So are you totally broke again?" Hanna asks curiously.

Their mom shakes their head, "Not totally. No. Thank you god. I already used some of the money to get us out of debt. The plan was to invest the rest so I could replace it all before anyone realised it was gone."

"But if the bank finds out about your unauthorised loan, that's a felony mom. This is serious." Taylor tells her mom.

"It's only a felony if they find out."

"Mom, it's still a felony." Taylor says before she and Hanna wordlessly gets out of the car and walks towards Emily and Spencer.

"Looks like someone traded in her wheels for heels." Emily comments whilst smiling at Hanna as she finally had that awful cast taken off.

"They're flats." Hanna states whilst also smiling, "But they are Ferragamo's"

Taylor nods her head, amused. "Of course they are. Why can't you have a normal pair of shoes?" Hanna just shrugs at her sisters question.

Spencer soon gets off of the phone and looks extremely stresses and worried. "What?" Taylor asks the girl.

"Ian was at Hilton Head the same weekend Ali was." Spencer states shocking the others.

"Agent Cooper isn't some small town cop that's going to arrest Spencer's brother-in-law because Ali carved his name into a tree." Hanna explains to the girls as they walk into the cafeteria at school and sit down at a table.

Aria nods her head in agreement, "Yeah, a tree that's no longer there."

"No one knows that but us."

"And Ian."

However, before we could continue the conversation further Maya comes over and Emily stands up to kiss her. Taylor couldn't help but smile at the girl as she walks off, happy that Emily was happy and how cute her and Maya are together.

After first period Taylor goes to Hanna locker with her sister as she needed to get out some books but when Hanna opened it they noticed a $100 bill stuck to her window. Taylor quickly takes it off the mirror and turns it around and she notices that there was a post-it-note on the other side.

"I'm really starting to want to murder this bitch." Taylor mutters underneath her breath as she shows Hanna the note.

"Hey!" Taylor turns around after hearing someone call behind them. Hanna quickly takes the money out of Taylor's hand and hid it in her purse before the twins turn around and see it was Aria. "Do you want to grab a coffee after school? I could use some study buddies."
