Taylor had gotten to school earlier hoping to get some coffee as they had just ran out back home. However, what she wasn't expecting was for all of the vending machines to be on lockdown due to someone breaking in them after school hours. Seeing how long the line was to get a cup of coffee Taylor debated whether or not it was actually worth it. But she was just so tired that she knew that if she wanted to make it through the day then she needed that coffee.
"Hey." Taylor hears behind her causing her to turn around. She smiled when she saw that it was Aria walking up to her. "Hey." She greets back before looking down and noticing that she was wearing a new pair of boots. "I know I'm going to sound a lot like Hanna but cute boots. New?"
"Ish. What is with this line?" Aria asks curiously as she tries to peer over people to see the front of the line. Taylor wanted to smile at how cute the smaller girl looked. "All the vending machines are on lockdown. Someone's been breaking into them after hours and stealing food." Taylor informs. "I heard this one kid say the alarm went off at like, 3am." She recalls what she heard a student say earlier when she was walking through the halls.
"What? Since when did the vending machines have alarms?" Aria asked shocked, never knowing that information. "It's school." Is all Taylor says for a reason. "Someone's been sneaking out of the building in the middle of the night which makes zero sense. Who'd wanna be here any longer than they have to? I know I wouldn't. I can't wait for it to be the end of the day so I could leave."
"Hmm, well I might. Going home just got scary." Aria comments as she picks out a ticket for the museum that she had went to a few days ago with Ezra from her pocket. "This was in my dad's coat." She explains. This causes Taylor to refuse to look at the girl, knowing that if she did then she would feel even worse that what she already did. "He said it's my mom's, but I'm starting to wonder if he was at the museum too."
"Your dad?" Taylor asks, trying to act interested. "No." She shakes her head. Taylor obviously knew that Aria's dad wasn't at the museum. If he was, then A would have made her give him a ticket as well. "Why was he so twitchy when I asked? If they were both there the same night as me and Ezra..." Aria trails off. "Aria, you're just on a loop. It was a coincidence." Taylor says hoping to get her friend to drop the conversation.
"Is it?" The brunette asked rhetorically as she gave Taylor a look. "Tay, come on. You don't think it's weird that my mom had a ticket the same night?"
"Yes, a weird coincidence." Taylor insists before noticing Caleb sitting at a table by himself in the courtyard. "Erm, can you get my coffee and Hanna's as well, please? I'll be right back." She says before walking off without waiting for an answer. When she reached Caleb, he was still on his phone and didn't notice her presence. This annoyed her so she roughly kicked his foot. "Ow!" Caleb complains before looking up at the blonde before him.
Taylor looks at him for a moment before stating seriously, "We need to talk." This instantly gained his attention. He put his phone down and gave the girl his undivided attention. "You know that thing you did with Mrs. Montgomery's car?" She asks causing Caleb to nod. "Well, just pretend like it never happened, okay? Don't talk about it, don't blog about it, don't even tweet about it. Clear? I know your very tech savvy." Taylor says in one mouthful.
"Can I speak now?" Taylor rolls her eyes as she sits down across from him. "Okay, if you must, but it's really annoying. Like I will get a headache for the rest of the day after this conversation." She adds causing Caleb to smile in amusement. "The way I see it, you owe me." He states as he looks at the girl across from him.
The blonde looked at the boy for a moment before shaking her head lightly, "For what?" She asked, not liking how the other day she easily caved in and said that she owed him. Taylor was thankful that Caleb had helped her out, but it wasn't like she had asked him to. He willingly did it, so she wasn't too happy about owing him.
