Doctor's P.O.V

I have an idea. A completely insane idea that could potentially have very bad after effects if it works and even worse if it doesn't. But I have to try. The more time I waste, the farther away she'll be. Time has never been so crucial. I stroke her face with my thumb, hopefully not for the last time, before leaning in and placing a chaste kiss on her lips without thinking. I don't have time to think, I can only follow my hearts. And my hearts wants her back. I get up and head to the Tardis console, which is smoking up a storm.

"You have to help me save her," I yell to the Tardis as I tug at the panel below the controls. She whines in response, probably saying "You've done enough damage to me because of her," but I won't hear it. I tug harder until finally the panel breaks free and I back away, shielding my eyes from the heart of the Tardis.

"You are the greatest life force I have. I've seen what you're capable of. What you've done to Rose and Jack. I need you to do this for me."

I rush and grab a defibrillator of the top book shelf and rip off the cords along with the paddles. Then I stick both ends of the cords into the hot blinding golden energy and slam the panel. The chords snake out from the closed panel, already absorbing the Tardis life force, and inching up to the paddles.

My breathing is growing shallow and my hands refuse to stay steady. I rub the paddles together, unsure of what it does to help, but I remember this is how real doctors do it. I mentally block out the consequences and damage that could be done. I can worry about all that later when Clara is breathing. But the one thing I can't shake is what if I fry her alive. What if it's too much for her? The only reason I even considered this was because it didn't envole her looking straight at the heart of the Tardis, which is far more deadly.

Even of that method does bring her back, she wouldn't be here for long. Images of Rose play into my head before I swipe them away.

Focus Doctor!

Once the paddles feel "charged" I hold them inches above Clara's chest.

"This better work!" I slam the paddles into her.
