Doctor's P.O.V
River flips down the lever, stopping the Tardis from dematerializing. "No we are not. You know that won't save us."
"River-"
"Have you lost you're mind?"
"If you'd let me explain you mad infuriating-"
"No you are the mad one! Come up with another plan because I'm not allowing you to let a black hole suck us up cause you're curious to where it will led." I slam my hand on the console.
"It's not just curiosity. Trust me I don't want to do this either. Missy does."
"Oh she does. Which is all the more reason to do it?" She waves her hands angrily in the air and let them drop to her sides.
"This is not a normal black hole. I'm sure you've seen Missy's love for remotes. She'll close it up as soon as we go through." She crosses her arms.
"How do you know that?"
"Because she was my friend once and I know my friends. She wants to see if I remember."
"Remember what?"
"Remember my promise to her."
"Which is?"
"That if, I mean when, she altered a black hole for time travel I'd go with her."
"How do you know she succeeded?"
"Because the proof is up in that sky. We were standing on it for heavens sake!" I reach for the lever once more and River makes no move to stop me, even though I can see in her eyes that she wants to. What if I'm wrong? I'll be putting my family in danger. And what if she doesn't close the black hole behind us? And how will we escape after going through. The Tardis navigation system won't be able to find an exit because a black hole is virtually nothing. Longitude and latitude don't exist. I'm making a very deadly decision based on a long lost memory. I pull the lever before I seriously overthink this. Daisy lingers around the console, running her fingers over the many controls. Her mouth is open with an awed look. I smile down at her when she reaches my side and she smiles up at me in return. No matter what happens I can't let her get hurt. She's my child, my flesh and blood, and I already love her. I just hope my instinct is right.
"Hold on tight!" I yell when the Tardis starts to rock alittle... then a lot. I grab Daisy's hand and she squeezes back tightly. River holds on to the edge of the console, as do I. Once we are in, there is no going back. Then another thought hits me. How do we land if there is nothing to land on? Missy must have done it somehow. But what if she's not there, and this is a trap. Did the black hole close behind us? Did I just doom us all? My thoughts are interrupted by the loud thump of the Tardis landing. It jolts us, but no one falls. Steam hisses and curls upwards from below us. I let go of Daisy's hand and creep to the door. I don't bother to check the scanner. The Tardis won't know where we are. I slowly open the door. I prepare myself for a vast thick darkness to await outside. But before me is the last place I'd ever thought I'd be. It takes a second to realize it, but when I do my eyes well up with tears.
"Gallifrey."
Next chapter will be Clara's P.O.V. Guess I got back to her more quickly then expected.
