Halwyn was left gazing back at his sister with his mouth wide open. If he didn't think that they were in the office, he would've spit some unnecessary words in the mouth that would probably land him a visit to the HR Office. So he patiently waited for everyone to disappear, even nodding to his friends to wait for him outside before he faced his sister.

"Are you crazy?!" Hal couldn't help it and went all out. "You know Aidan was my childhood friend. Why would you even assign me to the interview?"

She looked at his brother as though she had gone senile and had no memories of Halwyn and Aidan even crossing paths. "Isn't that favorable for you? If you knew him as someone from your past then it wouldn't be difficult for you to conduct the interview."

"Ugh! I disappeared from his life, Sia! How would you think he would react as soon as he saw my face?"

"You're thinking way too much," she told him, ignoring his tantrums. "I've already made all the arrangements and you just need to do the rest. We have a deadline to meet, so make sure you have everything sorted out."

"How did you even get him to agree?"

"I met his manager in a club downtown and we talked about him. I didn't beat around the bush, you know how much I wanted any of the members of the X-Holic in our magazine even before then, but I couldn't get a hold of them because of their hectic schedules. I told him about it and he quickly agreed."

"Just like that? He didn't even ask the man?"

"I don't know about their agreement but Aidan Pryce agreed to be featured on the front cover of our magazine. Who knows, next time it will be the whole band."

Hal exhaled in distress but at the same time wondered if the manager mentioned to him that the editor-in-chief of Trend Wise Magazine was Siana Yale who happens to be his sister. Because if that's the case, Hal couldn't help but question that Aidan probably agrees in the hopes of getting in touch with him.

But why would he even think that?

Not like his existence matters much to the frontman and leader of the famous band X-Holic.

"By the way," Hal thought of asking, "Have you found a model to be featured beside him?"

"I'm working on it."

"You're working on it? Seriously, sis. You're not going to hassle every one of us again with the deadline, are you?"

Sia raised her head and met his reprimanding face. "Are you scolding me?"

"I'm just trying to remind you of your toxic behavior," Hal went straight to the point.

"I am not toxic!" Sia's face turned red. "Do not worry about the model, I'll take care of it. Just do the rest and work it out with your team. I mean it, Hal. Make it work!"

Halwyn had no more strength to even argue with his older sister and left the conference room, stomping his feet in the process. Also, he didn't have much time to ponder about the frustration of having to deal with her attitude when he had his own issues to sort out, primarily involving a childhood friend whom he had not seen for years!

"I FUCKING HATE HER!!!"

When it was time for lunch, his friends decided to have fast food for today and Halwyn didn't even oppose this and followed them. Once they were seated and waiting for their orders, he started ranting not even understanding the words that were coming out of his mouth and just letting his emotions free flow. As a result, four faces wearing complicated expressions watched him with caution.
