Coming down from the Porshe was Nia Hier carrying a box that contained an expensive gift and was heading towards the party looking all glamorous and gorgeous. She expected Aidan to help her but aside from opening the door of the car for her, he didn't even offer a hand to carry some of her belongings. He pretended that he didn't see her and instead fixed his whole attention to his mom, Linda.

Riding on the Ford that parked beside his car was the manager of the X-Holic band Glenda, with Owen, and Dylan, and the last to come out was Floyd.

"Hey, why is she here?" Floyd whispered next to Aidan as he noticed the ex-fiancée.

Aidan shrugged. "She insisted on coming and she knew Hal's mom, what can I say? Don't worry, she's harmless."

"I'm not worried, I'm just..."

Dylan frowned and they were both befuddled to find that he was closely listening. "If you're so concerned about her then stay by her side."

Floyd's mouth hung open as he watched Dylan march his way inside the venue where the celebration would be held. Shaking his head, he quickly ran in pursuit and even called his name. Owen, on the other hand, immediately searched for a familiar face and when he found what he was looking for, his smile broadened.

Eurig saw him too, approaching from afar but before the man could reach him, he rolled his eyes and turned to his heel to move further away. Owen was dumbfounded not comprehending what just happened and was left scratching his head.

Patricia Yale, known only by her nickname as 'Tracy' saw Aidan and his mom, and her face was illuminated with glee in an instant. "Linda! I'm so glad you came---oh my, is this Aidan? How you've grown!"

Linda was beautiful with a voluptuous figure and had an uncanny resemblance to Aidan's face, with soft eyes and cupid's lips, she never had that many friends but she found Hal's mom adorable. "Happy Birthday!"

"Oh, thank you!" Tracy was bashful as she received the gifts. Just then, she noticed a beautiful face peering behind Aidan and for someone of her age, she has a rather strong memory since she positively recognized her, "Nia? Is this..."

Linda nodded with a smile, "Yes, it's Nia."

Tracy laughed wholeheartedly and the young lady kissed her cheeks. "I'm so happy to see you again. So, are you two..."

Knowing where the conversation was heading, Linda was quick to touch the other woman's forearm and whispered, "I'll tell you later, and no...they didn't end up together."

As the two women engaged in their own chat, Aidan looked around and it was obvious who he was searching for. Nia noticed this and the smile faded off her face. "Relax," she told him, "I'm pretty sure he's here somewhere. This is his mom's birthday party."

Aidan glared and didn't say anything. Instead, he walked away and went straight to the bar to get himself something to drink.

The said venue featured a balcony that was considered show-stopping, and functional. The outdoors itself was made to fit onto the standard railings, turning boring balconies into a balcony bliss, and was among the many highlights of the place. Hal was on this balcony with his friends, Cadi, Steffan, and Maxen. It wasn't his intention to avoid anyone in particular, although it could be one of the reasons. Today was supposed to be an exceptional day but Halwyn didn't feel like socializing with their nosy relatives and his sister was doing great entertaining---or giving them snide remarks and he felt like no one needed him anyway. To be honest, the whole party was filled with these adults who did nothing but degenerate the young generation and ask them about their love life.
