"Blondie, this isn't a good idea." Alex stressed.
"Yes, it is. I'm getting Mackie and those innocent people out of there, and teaching this guy a lesson." Jack argued.
"But, Blondie, he could kill you! Do you even have a plan?"
"Actually, I do. You said you guys used to date?"
"Yes.."
"Go up to his front door, and ask to get back together with him. I'll come with because the story is our parents work together, and we're forced to hang out together. Anyway, he invites you inside, I'll find the mask, confront him, knock him out, call the cops to come get him."
"Or call the cops to do the whole thing!" Alex scoffed.
"The cops won't be able to get inside. You, on the other hand, will."
Alex shook her head. "I don't know, Blondie."
"I promise I won't let him hurt you." Jack assured her.
"But what if they hurt you?"
"Aw, you do care about me!" He grinned.
"Shut up!"
They pulled up in front of Josh's house, and Alex took a shaky breath. "We're going to be fine." Jack comforted, setting his hand on her shoulder.
"See, you saying it's going to be fine, makes me think the exact opposite will happen!"
"We're going to be stabbed to death, and he will shower his captives in our bloodshed." Jack smirked. Alex gagged. "Let's go." She sighed. She knocked on the front door, and Josh opened up, looking shocked when he saw Alex. "Hey, what's up?" He asked, confused.
"I want to get back together!" She faked, sounding sincere.
"Who's the blonde behind you?"
"This is..." Alex struggled to say his real name, rather than Blondie. For a split second, she couldn't remember it. "This is Jack." She managed. Jack waved shyly. "Our parents work together, and today we were forced to hang out. So, can we get back together? I forgive you, Josh. I just was so angry back in the forest, I mean I couldn't find Julie, and when I found out you were included in her going missing, I flipped."
"Come inside. The dude can come too. I'd love to get back together." Josh smirked. From the expression on Jack's face, Alex could tell he wasn't too fond of Josh. This is all fake! You do not like Josh! She reminded herself. "Come, sit." Josh invited, seating them in the living room. Alex sat down beside Jack, and Josh squished between them. "So, if I didn't break your heart this summer, where would we be right now?" Josh smiled.
"Right. Here." Alex gigged, leaning forward. They kissed. Alex truly hated it.. truly.. most definitely! She despised it! Okay, she loooooved it! When she pulled away, she could see that Jack wore a heartbroken expression. "Um, where's your bathroom?" Jack asked, obviously not needing to go to the bathroom.
"Down the hall, on the right. The RIGHT!" Josh instructed. Jack nodded, and headed down the hall. Alex prayed he'd be okay, once he found the mask. "So, Alex.." Josh smiled. "Where were we?"
Alex didn't want to kiss him anymore, but she had to in order to distract him. She pulled him close, and kissed him. He was already taking it too far. He brushed his fingers through her hair, and stroked her neck, causing her to blush. He began pulling away, but she basically pounced on him, with more kissing. At this point, she was disgusted. "Hey!" Jack interrupted. "What's this?"
Jack held up the dog mask, and a large, bloody knife. "I SAID STAY TO THE RIGHT!" Josh demanded.
"Oh, that wasn't the bathroom? Hmm.. could've sworn. I mean, I peed on your bed anyway." Jack smirked.
"YOU'RE DISGUSTING!"
Jack laughed, but stopped when Josh bolted towards him. "Uh oh-"
Josh tackled Jack, knocking the knife out of his hand. Jack reached for the weapon, but it was just out of his reach. Instead, Josh got it. Curse his long, muscular arms.
Josh striked, but Jack rolled out of the blade's way. Jack hopped to his feet, and Alex watched, frozen in fear that Josh would stab Jack. "BAD MURDERER! STAY BACK!" Jack commanded, treating Josh like a dog, as he chased Jack around the living room furniture, like two 8 year olds. "BAAAAADDDD!"
Josh threw the knife, and it missed Jack by centimetres. "OKAY, TAKE IT EASY!" Jack chuckled, trying to keep the mood light, although Alex could see he was petrified. Jack hurried into the kitchen, and grabbed a large knife. "AH HAH!" He exclaimed, like five year old excited to have a fake sword fight. Josh managed to corner Jack, and it was like a literal sword fight, but with knives the size of their forearms. Jack Managed to get Josh onto the ground, and just as he knocked Josh's knife out of his hand, Josh pulled a kitchen knife off the counter, and the blade pierced Jack's skin surprisingly better than how you'd think a knife that dull looking would. Jack fell to his knees, and shouted out in pain, as Alex froze, shocked. She felt like she was in a nightmare and couldn't wake up. She wanted to pinch herself. She wanted to scream, she wanted to run away, she wanted to call for help, she wanted to save Jack, but she couldn't move. Jack winced, and looked at Josh with his eyes full of anger and pain. He grabbed his knife, with the metal handle, and he turned it, hitting Josh in the head with the handle as hard as he could, knocking the criminal out. "That's.. what's what you get, you douche bag." Jack trembled. He looked down, and winced as soon as he saw the blade sunken into his abdomen. Alex ran to him, with tears streaming down her face. "Blondie!" She stammered. "St-stay still! I'll-I'll call nine one one!"
"Don't... freak out.." Jack winced. Alex trembled and shook as she dialled the number. Don't die on me, Blondie. She thought. Please don't die on me!
