When class started, Alex couldn't help but stare at Damian. She couldn't describe it, but he just pulled her in like a magnet. When he and Adam met, she knew Adam didn't feel very sure about him. The same thing happened when he and Mable met.
She knew Mable's gut feelings were never wrong, but she just couldn't pull away! His eyes were a piercing blue, and his smile was as soft as the sound of waves, and his voice felt so soothing, yet so exhilarating! She was never going to get out of this mess.Their homeroom teacher, Mrs Biggs, explained what to expect during grades eleven and twelve, and what to expect in her class, having both twelfth grade students and eleventh grade students.
Alex had a feeling Mrs Biggs was a wise and patient woman. Her smile was soft, and her eyes crinkled at the corners when she smiled, and that was almost always. She had a soft, calming voice and hardly ever raised it at a student. She had soft looking grey hair and wore very thin framed glasses. She answered each question with care, and took her time. Alex liked her already. After class, she joined up with Damian in the hallway, with a gut feeling that took part in telling her he was bad news. When she got with him, she was sure he was the one, and he'd never betray her, but now her heart told her otherwise. "Hey, babe!" Damian smiled, lifting her in circles by the waist.
"Hey!" She giggled. "So, how are you liking your first day so far?"
He shrugged. "It's alright."
A blonde girl, Alex knew all to well, Ashley, walked by and winked at Damian causing him to look her way. He looked back at Alex and blushed. She felt a sick feeling in her stomach, but pushed it away. "I think my day's going pretty well, how about you?"
"Good. I just hope Julie and Adam are having a good day so far."
Damian nodded in agreement, and looked across from them to Ashley. "I'll meet up with you at lunch, I got to go." He blushed.
"Yeah, sure."
He walked over to Ashley and Alex's smile faded, followed by a chip breaking away from her heart. Ashley laughed, and glanced over to Alex, and Alex felt like throwing up. Why did she always fall for the heart breakers?
She shook the feeling away, and headed for her next class. As she walked through the halls, she looked behind her to try and spot Julie and Adam, causing her to bump into a tall, blonde boy with deep green eyes and a void of a stare. "S-sorry!" Alex managed, having him blankly stare down at her.
He broke into a small smirk, and looked her up and down. "It's fine, just watch it next time, cupcake."
Alex gawked at him as he walked away, and her face felt hot. Who was he calling cupcake!? She grumbled to herself, and continued to her next class. The morning seemed to fly by, and before she knew it, she was at lunch with Julie, Adam, Damian, and...Ashley. She seemed to flirt with both Adam and Damian. Damian was the only one who seemed to flirt back.
Julie glared at Ashley, and Adam watched Damian with disgust. "So, Adam, what do you like about Julie?" Damian snooped. The question didn't even faze Adam, and he didn't even think about the question. "So, Damian, what do you like about Alex? Or should I say Ashley? Because she's the one you're sitting beside, and flirting with this whole time."
Damian's jaw dropped, and he looked over at Alex, looking...ashamed. "Adam, he's just nice, that's all. Lots of girls flirt with him, but it's not like he feels the same way she does for him like me. He's just flirting back. So they feel good." Alex blushed.
"Sure.." Adam muttered.
"Damian, I want you to answer Adam's question. You sure seem a little too nice to Ashley. Don't you think you should be sitting closer to Alex? You know, have her wrap her arm around you instead of that girl who isn't your so called 'girlfriend'." Julie glared.
"Julie! Adam! Quit it!" Alex demanded, standing up. "Damian would never betray me like that! You just can't see it!"
"Y-yeah! I-um yeah!" Damian Stuttered. Tears burned Alex's eyes, and she grabbed her food, and ran off. Damian chased after her. "Drama queen, am I right?" Ashley snickered. She opened her mouth to flirt with Adam, but stopped at the piercing stare of Julie's.
