Jake smiles, looking at Raven's gorgeous face. Rain is still falling on them, but they both seem too preoccupied with their love to care about the rain soaking their bodies. They both have a love for each other that feels almost otherworldly, like they are the only people who they need. They have a love that they know will last forever and beyond, even if they don't survive the apocalypse. Jake kisses her hand, his face still lit up and filled with love for her as she says she loves him too.

"I'm glad to hear that, Raven. I haven't felt this way about someone... ever." Jake hugs her tightly. "Well... if the world's going to end soon, we might as well try to make the most of it, right? I'm just glad I was able to spend my last hours with a beautiful woman such as yourself."

Raven can see the tears on Jake's face, but she can also see his smile. It may be tragic that they've only been together for a day, but their connection feels so strong right now.

Jake's voice breaking as he says, "Thank you. Just hearing those words from you... it makes everything feel okay for a moment, it makes everything feel okay in the middle of all of this apocalyptic hell. Just knowing I'm with you, it makes me not want to lose you." Jake closes his eyes, looking up at the pouring rain as he whispers the last part. "I just don't want to lose you. I don't want you to go."

Time seems to stand still in that moment for Raven and Jake. The rain continues to pour down around them, and the broadcast is the only sound aside from the slow music playing in the background. Jake holds Raven's hand tightly, feeling the cold rain pour down on their bodies and the wind blow through their hair. Raven's heart is racing, her eyes glued to the radio waiting to hear what the broadcast has to say. She looks over at Jake, and the look on his face is that of fear, but also deep affection and love towards her.

Their eyes go wide with fear as they hear that the nuke is only 5 minutes away, the broadcast still playing on the radio and the rain still coming down in droves. Jake takes Raven's hand tightly in his, his face filled with worry and fear.

She can hear more voices over the radio broadcast, voices of others also hearing the broadcast and panicking. The clock begins ticking down as the minutes slowly turn to seconds, the broadcast beginning to count down the seconds until the nukes strike, the voices of fear and anxiety growing louder across the radio broadcast.

They both look down at their radio in fear, looking at each other with concern on their faces. "We only have 5 minutes until the nuke hits..."  Jake repeats. They both look at each other and consider their options for a moment. She can feel Jake's fingers wrap around hers, and she can feel herself getting close to him.

"Jake, I... I want to say something." Raven says quietly, taking a deep breath before beginning to speak again. "The world has been taken from us..."
