Raven laughs pulling the cooked chicken off the stove and onto the counter where she starts cutting peace's off onto their plates, she give him a big piece, then grabs them both a scoop of rice.
Jake looks at the chicken as it is taken off the stove, his eyes sparkling as he looks at the fried and juicy chicken. He watches as she cuts him a piece of the food, the chicken looking absolutely delicious.
"Thank you so much. I'd be completely doomed if you didn't feed me." He chuckles and takes the piece of chicken as she also dishes up his plate of rice. "The only reason I'm still alive right now is probably because you cooked this meal." Jake says in admiration. Raven laughs, picking up her plate and walks over to the dining table and sits down on one of the chairs, she starts to eat.
Jake walks up to the dining table and sits down next to her, beginning to dig into his meal. The food tastes absolutely delicious and he quickly finishes his plate, looking over at Raven as she eats as well. Jake looks at her, a loving and longing look in his eyes as he smiles at her. "You know... this was the best dinner I've had in a long time." Jake says, looking at her with affection in his dark brown eyes.
"I'm glad I could do that for you." Raven laughs, continuing eating. Jake sits still and watches her eat as she laughs, seeming completely enamored by her. He smiles at her as he watches her eat, his eyes wandering over her face as she continues to eat and laugh. "I never thought I would ever say I owe my life to a woman before. But in this case, I really do." He chuckles, looking down at his plate with a sigh."And the strange thing is... I wouldn't have it any other way." He smiles up at her, still completely enthralled by her.
"I'd rather not be alone in this zombie apocalypse so I'm the one who should thank you." She replies.
"Well maybe we can agree to thank each other, then." He chuckles. "I'm just glad I ran into you, I honestly think I would've been eaten by a zombie by now if it wasn't for you." He says, smiling warmly towards her. Their eyes lock as they look at each other for a moment as the sun is beginning to set, and the cabin is beginning to get darker. A strange feeling comes over Jake's mind, as if time stands still for just a moment and the two of them are alone together in their own little world.
Raven and Jake finish their meals and put their dishes in the sink, the sun slowly setting over the mountain range in the distance. "Well, I think it's time to call it a night." She says with a yawn, leaning back against the kitchen counter and looking towards Jake.
"Should we both take a room upstairs and get some sleep?" She queries, smiling at Jake. Jake shrugs, seemingly indifferent to staying in a room with her.
"I don't mind sharing a room. Up to you." He tells her.
"Well aren't you a flirt, I meant for us to get separate rooms silly... if you need to share a room my room is across from you." She replies laughing. Raven gives a mischievous grin, her eyes sparkling with the light of the kitchen as she looks at Jake.
"Well, I wouldn't mind sharing a room with you. You wouldn't have to worry about zombies sneaking in the room at night if we were in there together." She teases playful. She gives him a wink and moves towards her room, heading up the stairs and moving towards her room across from Jake. Jake grins, following her up the stairs and moving across the hall towards his room directly across from her's. Raven and Jake get settled into their rooms for the night.
