015. UNEXPECTED SURPRISES

Chapter fifteen
"Unexpected surprises."

Sitting in Sue's office, only Kurt, Caroline and Mercedes were in there as she tossed her glasses down onto her desk "ladies, what we have here is a grade A dilemma. Mercedes, your vocal cords have had more fantastic runs than a Kenyan track team..but that look will simply not do. At first I thought it was a subtle homage to yours truly, but now I fear it's some sort of ironic comment." she shared "Ms Sylvester, I'm just not comfortable in those cheerios skirts. They don't fit me right." Mercedes shared "Mercedes, you shouldn't feel embraced about your body." Kurt told her "yeah, your beautiful inside and out." Caroline told her.

"Embarassed? No, no. I'm worried about showing too much skin and causing a sex riot." Mercedes shared as the three laughed and wiggled their fingers together as they then flipped their hair "how do you three not have a show on bravo?" Sue asked as the three went silent "here's the skinny. Splits magazine, after much campaigning by one Sue Sylvester, has named me cheerleading coach of the last two thousand years. In seven days reporter Tracy Pendergrass will arrive on campus, and my new star singer will have lost ten pounds and be in a gender appropriate cheerleading uniform or she is off the team." Sue shared.

"Ten pounds? Are you serious?" Kurt asked her "yeah, that's insane!" Caroline voiced "you two can stand to lose a few, kiddos. You have hips like pears." Sue told them as Kurt's jaw dropped, Caroline's eyes went wide "now, if you'll excuse me, I have to put in a call to the Ohio secretary of state notifying them that I will no longer be carrying photo ID. You know why? People should know who I am." Sue shared, as Caroline sighed.

Sitting in glee club later, on Mr Schuester sat back down on the stole "um, all right, I have one final announcement before we all leave. We can't use the auditorium for the next week." he shared "but that's garbage. How are we supposed to practice for regionals without the auditorium?" Finn asked "cheerios need it to practice in. There's nothing I can do." Mr Schuester told them as Rachel stood up "I recommend a sit in." she told them "I recommend we torch the place." Puck mentioned "yes, so you can then get arrested for arson and not be able to perform at regionals!" Caroline voiced, sarcastically as Santana, Mike, Matt and Jesse laughed "no, look, we've all faced adversity before and we've come out stronger on the other end. I'm gonna check out a few off site locations for us to use just for the week. I promise I'll find us a new home." Mr Schuester told them as the bell then rang for them to leave.

Although, as Caroline was going to lunch, Santana had shoved a bottle in her hand and walked past her as Caroline turned to her "what..what is this?" she asked her "your new lunch. It's the Sue Sylvester master cleanse." Santana told her "which is?" Caroline asked her and unknowing to her it was water, maple syrup for glucose, lemon for acid, Kayan pepper, irritate the bowels, and a dash of ipecac, a vomiting agent.

That night, Caroline had noticed in her mom's room that her bed frame was gone "mom!" she called out as she turned walking to the kitchen and when she did, she found her mom in the kitchen cooking "hey, sweetheart, you want dinner?" she asked her "no, um, I had a big lunch." Caroline told her, furrowing her brows as she saw her mom's hair and her outfit "um, are you having a mental break or something cause your one selling things cause every time I look somewhere, somethings gone that used to be there like your bed frame. And now you've gotten haircut which you haven't done for yourself in years! And now your dressing nicer, what's going on?" she asked her, as her mom turned to her "I'm seeing someone, Caroline. I told your brother earlier. I think I'm in love." she told her.

"Who might I ask cause I don't understand.." Caroline told her, shaking her head "it's your friend Kurt's father. Burt Hummel." her mom told her and when she did, Caroline's eyes went wide "your dating him!" she yelled, having seen Burt Hummel once before and he didn't exactly seem like her mothers type although if Caroline was being honest, she didn't really know what her mother's type was but with Kurt's feelings for her brother, this was gonna be really weird and an interesting adjustment.
