Chapter ninety eight

"This trip means everything."

This was it, everything she had been working for was riding on this moment, as Caroline's parents were walking down the hallway "god I can't believe we're actually here. You're going back to LA not only for nationals but for that producer you met with to decide if your really meant for this." her mom shared, as Caroline sighed "mom, we're not even there yet." she told her, as her dad chuckled "your mom's just a bit nervous that's all. Plus she wants you to succeed. We both do." he shared, putting his arm around her.

The three of them walked into the choir room as Blaine, Tina and Artie came over to say hello, but soon everyone sat back down, as Caroline stood next to her parents, as Mr Schuester sat on a stool "we just wanted to come in and say that, uh..Finn really cared about you guys, more than you know." her dad shared "Finn always said that winning nationals was the greatest accomplishment of his life. But I honestly believe that coaching you guys to winning would've meant even more to him." her mom shared, as Caroline put her arm around her.

"And we're not saying go out there and win it for Finn. That wasn't his style. Um..what Finn would've said was that this is the time of your lives right now. You're never gonna forget it. And in a moment it's all gonna be over." her dad shared, as Caroline chuckled "or he would've phrased like how he said the shows gotta go all over the place or something." she said, making Sam, Tina, Artie and Blaine chuckle, as her mom then turned to her "no sad faces. No regrets." she said, turning to the others "just got out there and have a blast and you know, it'd be okay if you won the damn thing." she shared, as they all chuckled.

"And the best part about it is that Burt and Carol have agreed to come with us as chaperones." Mr Schuester shared, as Caroline's mom threw her arm around her "I couldn't miss your big moment." she said, as Caroline chuckled "it's not that big a deal." she said, as her dad scoffed "yes it is. This is the rest of your life!" he voiced, pulling Caroline toward's him "I think we need a little mood music to send us off." Mr Schuester said as he turned around "Brad." he said, as Brad began playing the piano, as Mr Schuester started to sing.

"Hate New York City

It's cold and it's damp
And all the people dress like monkeys."

He then walked over to Caroline and her parents.

"Let's leave Chicago to the Eskimos
That town's a little bit too rugged
For you and me, bad girl."

He then tapped her mom on the nose as her jaw dropped so did Caroline's as Mr Schuester walked away with his hands up, the three of them then laughed as Blaine got up and started singing as Mr Schuester sat down.

"Rollin' down Imperial Highway
With a big nasty red-head at my side."

Blaine then walked up to Caroline and pointed at her, as Artie then started singing as he wheeled over.

"Santa Ana winds blowin' hot from the north
And we were born to ride."

Then they had left Ohio, boarded a plane and headed down to Los Angeles where they all were now on a tour bus touring the city as Blaine sang.

"From the South Bay to the Valley
From the West Side to the East Side."

He then sang with Artie.

"Everybody, very happy
Cause the sun is shining all the time."

Blaine then sang as the new directions sang backup.

"Looks like another perfect day
I love L.A. (Na-na-na-nana, na-na-na-na-nana-nana)
We love it (Na-na-na-nana, na-na-na-na-nana-nana) {Yeah!}
{I love L.A.} (Na-na-na-nana, na-na-na-na-nana-nana) {Woo-hoo}
We love it (Na-na-na-nana, na-na-na-na-nana-nana) {Artie: Yeah, yeah}
We love it."

Blaine then sang.

"I love L.A."

Jake then sang with the new directions as backup.
