Chapter eighty seven
"On the edge"
Sitting in the choir room, Mr Schuester had wrote all or nothing on the board "all right, guys, it's finally here, regionals." he told them all as they cheered "I just found out, because of safety concerns related to late seasoned tornados Indianapolis has decided to not host the competition. So, as defending champions we're having regionals here in our auditorium." Mr Schuester shared "home court advantage, yo! Whoo!" Artie cheered.
"Now, because of a sexting scandal at our lady of perpetual loneliness their glee club the nuntouchables has been excommunicated by the new pope. They've been replaced by the world famous boys of Ziegler prep, the waffletoots. The hooserdaddies are still the odds on favorite. I mean, their lead vocalist, Frida Romero is a tiny juggernaut of talent. We're in for the fight of our lives." Mr Schuester shared, as he sat down "so, let's get real. There comes a moment in every performers life that defines him or her, sometimes for the rest of their career. This is our moment. We're struggled, we've endured, and now we must triumph. And speaking of that, I want us all to just take a moment to send some positive energy to one of her our very own. She has her final callback for funny girl today. So, let's all give a big round of applause to Rachel whenever she is." he shared as they all clapped.
The next day, Caroline was walking in the hallway with Blaine and he had told her some very interesting news "you can only do this once so it has to be perfect. It has to be, you know, special." Blaine shared, as Caroline laughed "Blaine, um do you recall regionals last year where my brother was trying to marry Rachel where the world literally sent so many signs down to them that it was wrong including Quinn getting in a car accident? If we all haven't learned anything that getting married right out of high school is a huge mistake, no matter how much yo love someone." she shared.
"Well, I'm not asking you for your permission. I'm already gonna do it. What I'm asking for is your help about how to do this, from my best friend." Blaine told her, as Caroline turned looking at him "oh! My bad! How about this.." she told him, clearing her throat "the way you should do it totally by not proposing at all!" she voiced, turning around and walking off toward's the choir room, going to skip class to practice.
The next day they all were arriving at the choir room, but when Caroline saw Jake walking in with Marley she quickly pulled him from her "okay, you've seen how crazy Ryder has become with this whole someone pretending to be me thing, right?" she asked him "yeah. But clearly whoever it really is isn't gonna fess up, so are we supposed to do?" Jake asked as he shrugged, Caroline took a deep breath "if he asks again, I'm just gonna tell him it's me and hope nothing goes wrong." she told him, stepping around him to head into the choir room, although when she did Jakes eyes went wide as he quickly spun around following after her "what, whoa, no, no, okay? You are under enough stress already with this Frida Romero girl, alright? You don't need Ryder's drama making it worse." he shared, as the two found their seats.
"Okay, guys, I have finalized are setlist. We are going with I love It by Icona Pop. Hall of fame by The script and Will I am. And Caroline's original song, edge of great." Mr Schuester than shared, as Britney walked in "hey, Mr Schue, what about my original song? Do you remember?" she asked, standing by her seat as she sang.
"my cup, my cup
saying what's up to my cup."
