016. JUST PLAIN MEAN

Chapter sixteen
"Just plain mean."

Feeling better, Caroline and Jesse walked to the choir room together and as they walked in, Finn and Rachel did as well where Artie, Kurt, Mercedes and Tina were all laughing at something on a computer screen "what's so funny?" Finn asked "you guys aren't watching the video of me falling off stage at my first tiny tots beauty pageant, are you?" Rachel asked them "that was carrot top funny compared to this comedic tour de force." Kurt shared, as they all looked at it now, there was a blonde women dancing "that's Olivia Newton Johns physical. It was pretty ground breaking subject matter at the time considering it depiction of fluid sexuality." Jesse shared.

"Oh, my goodness." Mercedes voiced "wait, wait. That's not Olivia Newton John. That's Sue Sylvester. Where did you get this?" Finn asked "I can tell you that I certainly did not steal it from her locked file cabinet yesterday when she sent me back to her office to get her hormone replacement injectors during cheerios practice." Kurt shared, as they all laughed "wait, did she just do the cabbage patch?" Artie asked as they laughed again "I'm posting this on YouTube." Finn told them "no, wait. Do you think that's a good idea? She might kill us." Rachel shared "oh, let her get a taste of some of the humiliation she put us through." Mercedes shared "I'm with Finn. You guys need to stop being such asses and start being badasses." Jesse told them, as Caroline smirked and reached over, grabbing the computer "ten bucks it goes viral by lunch." Finn told them "hoping it goes faster than that." Caroline told them, typing on the computer.

And it did but it seemed, something else was going around as there was some sort of glist ranking everyone in glee club as Mr Schuester showed the paper to them all "who did it?" he asked as no one fessed up "this is serious. Principal Figgins is threatening to disband the club." Mr Schuester shared "why are we playing this game? We all know it was Puck." Santana told them "back off, I did't do squat." Puck told her "then why is your girlfriend first on the glist?" Tina asked "and why am I last? Except for the fact that I refused to put out for you." Rachel told him "wait, why am I second? Where did you guys even get this?" Caroline asked, motioning to them.

"Okay, enough! No one is accusing anyone of anything." Mr Schuester told them as he then looked to Puck "Puck, seriously, did you do it?" he asked "I said no. I'm a delinquent, sure. I like setting stuff on fire and beating up people I don't know. I own that. But I'm not a liar." Puck told them as Caroline furrowed her brows "you literally lied to all of us about my brother being the father of Quinns child. Many times to my own face." she reminded him "I'm turning over a new leaf!" Puck voiced "okay, here's the important point between this..and posting coach Sylveter's personal video on YouTube, you guys are getting a pretty bad reputation." Mr Schuester shared "why is that a bad thing? Maybe if we seem more dangerous people would stop flushing my glasses down the toilet." Artie mentioned.

As Mr Schuester walked over to them all handing out the sheet music for today "look, things are hard right now, I get it. You're under a lot of pressure with regionals coming up and I know that winning sectionals hasn't had the positive effect on your popularity that a lot of you thought it would. But becoming what you despise is not the answer." he shared "man, this song is wack." Mercedes told them "no, it's not. It's a terrific song on a long list of top hits that because of time or some bad press has become a joke. And like you guys, it's time to start rehabilitating it's bad reputation. The assignment for the week..is for all of you to find songs like this, mine them for what works and make them great again. And then hopefully, you can apply this music lesson to your own lives." Mr Schuester shared, having walked back to the middle of the choir room.

"This song should be arrested for the crime of sucking." Jesse told them as Finn furrowed his brows "that's funny cause Caroline actually did this song for her first ever talent show in first grade." he mentioned "yeah, and it got third place." Puck mentioned "Caroline?" Mr Schuester asked her, as Caroline sighed and pushed herself out of her seat "hit it." Mr Schuester told the drummer while Caroline walked down to the floor, the beat of ice ice baby started playing as Mr Schuester started singing.
