River: Filler Part

Y/n is sitting on the floor near the phone talking to Eleven.
"I miss you" El says sadly.
"I miss you too" Y/n says sighing sadly.
She leans her head on the wall behind her sighing with tears falling down her cheeks.
"Are you okay?" El asks concerned.
"I'm okay El, thanks for asking, so how's school?" Y/n asks smiling sniffling.
"They make fun of me" El says sadly.
"Oh El I'm sorry, kids your age suck...just know that everything will get better" Y/n says almost trying to convince herself.
"Thanks" El says quietly.
"I have to go but tell everyone I say hi and that I love and miss them" Y/n says smiling sadly.
"I will, goodbye Sis" El says.
"Bye Sis" Y/n says smiling hanging up the phone.
She leans against the wall sighing heavily.
All of the Wheeler family are out of the house today leaving Y/n by herself in the house.

She hears a knock at the front door.
Dragging herself off of the floor she opens the door seeing a smiling Steve.
"Hey" he says smiling.
"Hey" she says smiling back.
He hugs her tightly before letting go to walk into the house.
"Sure come in" she says sarcastically.
"Thanks" he says laughing.
"What we're you doing?" he asks happily.
"Talking to El" she says sighing sadly looking away to hide her face.
He nods looking at her turned head wishing he could make her feel better.
"Come on" he says grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the front door.
"Steve! Where are you taking me?" she asks whining.
"Trust me" he says smiling at her.
She sighs loudly nodding letting him drag her to his car.
"Here" he says opening the passenger door for her.
She smiles thankfully getting into the car.
He jogs to the drivers side sitting down and starting the car leaving down the street.
"Where are we going?" she asks confused.
"It's a surprise" he says looking at the road with a big grin.
"Shit..Steve I hate surprises" she says sighing leaning her head on the seat.
"I know" he says grinning.
"Ha ha very funny" she says rolling her eyes.
"Come on don't you trust me?" he asks smirking.
"More than anything" she says smiling.
He smiles widely hearing her confession with his heart beating faster.

After an hour of driving listening to music and talking they arrive at the stop.
Steve parks the car getting out to open Y/n's door.
"Where are we?" she asks confused looking around.
"You'll see" he says smiling.
"We're in the middle of nowhere, even more in the middle of nowhere than Hawkins" she says laughing.
"Just wait" he says laughing.
She grabs his hand as their walking.
He looks down at their hands smiling.
"Wait" he says covering Y/n's eyes with his hands.
"How do I know you're not leading me to my death?" she asks giggling.
"Well you'll have to see" he says in an ominous voice.
She laughs at his childish tone.
"We're here" he says removing his hands.
She looks around them seeing a pretty landscape of a small river  with trees surrounding it.
"It's beautiful" she says smiling looking around amazed.
"Yeah sure is" he says looking at her smiling.
He walks forward taking her hand.

They walk down to the river seeing the sun shining through the trees onto the water.
"It's amazing" she says smiling widely.
"Yeah it's nice" he says taking his shirt and pants off stepping closer to the water.
"What are you doing?" she asks covering her eyes nervously.
"Taking a dip" he says jumping into the river.
The water splashes onto the ground in front of Y/n's feet.
"Come on! It's nice!" he calls to Y/n smiling at her with his soaked messy hair.
"Okay but look away" she says nervously.
"Really?" he asks smirking.
"Steve" she says making a turning gesture with her finger.
"Okay" he says raising his arms turning around.
She laughs quietly taking off her shirt and skirt leaving her in her bra and shorts that were under her skirt.
"Okay" she says quietly stepping into the water carefully.

He turns around slowly making sure it was okay to look. He smiles seeing Y/n walking into the water wrapping her arms around herself.
He swims closer grabbing her hand to help her down.
She takes it smiling nervously.
He lowers her into the water by her waist.
"Thank you" she says smiling.
"Anytime" he says smiling.
She swims further away looking at him smirking before splashing him with water.
"Y/n! I'm gonna get you" he says laughing swimming after her.
She laughs swimming away from him when he catches her by the waist throwing her over his shoulder.
"Steve! Put me down" she says through laughs.
"No I don't think so" he says laughing.

They laugh playing around when he lowers her to his height tucking a piece of  hair behind her ear.
She looks at him smiling softly.
"You're beautiful" he says softly.
She gulps nervously.
"And your hair is a mess" she says laughing trying to fix his messy hair.
"We should get going" she says swimming towards the shore.

Steve stays in the water for a moment sighing sadly knowing that she tries to push him away even if it's not intentional. Memories of what him and Robin talked about in the mall bathroom flashes in his mind.
He thought he loved Nancy before but being with Y/n is completely different..he feels calm and happy but also worried and scared that he's going to fuck it up and lose the most important person in his life.

"Are you coming!" Y/n yells from the shore looking at him confused.
"Yeah!" he yells back swimming to the shore.
