For the rest of the week Steve has been trying to talk to Y/n but she's either barely home or she's been working non stop.

He walks up to the Byers/Hoppers door knocking hoping that Y/n is home.
Jonathan opens the door giving Steve a sad look.
"She's not here" Jonathan says shrugging.
"Do you know where she is?" he asks confused.
"She's working" Jonathan says.
"Thanks" he says smiling at him turning to walk back to his car.
"Steve wait, do you want to come in the kids are here?"Jonathan asks him nervously.
"Oh uh sure thanks man" he replies nodding.

They both walk into the house going to the living room seeing the Party playing D&D while Max and Eleven watch a movie reading magazines.
"Steve!" Dustin exclaims happy to see him.
"Henderson" Steve says smiling at him ruffling his hair.
"Y/n isn't here" Max says scoffing rolling her eyes.
"Yeah she isn't here" Eleven says doing the same.
"What's happening?" Lucas asks confused looking at Steve and the girls.
"I have no clue" Steve says shrugging.
"Really? No clue?" Max asks him sarcastic while glaring.
"Did I do something?" Steve asks looking at Jonathan confused only receiving a shrug.
"Y/n told us everything" Eleven says looking at him coldly.
"What did she say?" Steve asks nervously.
"Why should we tell you?" Max asks scoffing at him.
"Look Red whatever I did I've already tried to apologize but she won't listen" Steve says sighing loudly.
"You really don't remember?" Max asks unconvinced.
"Yes! Okay I really don't remember!" Steve exclaims frustrated.
"You might want to tell Nancy and Robin that" Max says shrugging going back to reading the magazine.
"Why?" Steve asks confused.
"Because they know everything too" Max says shrugging.
"Do you know?" Steve asks looking at Jonathan.
"Nancy told me" Jonathan replies shrugging.
"Are you going to tell me what I did?" Steve asks Max.
"Ask her that, Hair" Max replies flipping the magazine page.

Dustin looks at Steve feeling bad for him, seeing the sad look on his face and the worried tone he uses when Y/n comes up.
"Just talk to her man" Dustin says smiling at him.
"She won't listen" Steve replies sighing sitting on the couch.
"My sister is difficult to read, she doesn't like showing her emotions and when she does she tends to try and hide them again" Jonathan says to Steve.
"When Lonny left she barely came out of her room and when she did, she wouldn't talk" Jonathan continues sighing sadly.
"She's always too busy keeping it together for everyone else to take care of herself" Jonathan says sighing.
"That is true I mean she risked her life for me" Max says nodding smiling admirably.
"I think she's risked her life for all of us" Dustin says chuckling.
"Yeah she's always there" Will says smiling.
"Just don't give up on her, she just takes time to see what's right there in front of her" Jonathan says smiling at Steve.
"For some reason she actually likes being around you, she's way out of your league but you might have a chance" Max says smirking at Steve.
"You think?" Steve asks hopeful.
"Her being out of your league? oh yeah" Max says as her and Eleven laugh.
"No that I might have a chance" Steve says rolling his eyes.
"Yeah you might" Eleven says smiling.
"Come on Steve talk to her" Dustin says trying to encourage him.
"Talk to her dude" Lucas says.
"Yeah" Mike says agreeing.
Steve nods his head smiling feeling more confident about talking to Y/n after the groups pep talk.
