The road burns with red hot coals while the trees catch fire sending burning leaves flying through the air.
Screams surround the road echoing into the crimson thick air filled with smoke.
In the distance large bats fly through the air screeching sending loud ringing sounds through the sky.

In a field with burning trees surrounding it Y/n wakes up coughing feeling her lungs closing in on her while she claws at her throat trying to release her trapped breaths.

Running through the field she hears the bats screeching while they swarm the area looking for their prey.

The sky filled with thick red smoke suddenly turns to large black clouds that crackle with lightning.
Y/n continues to run with the clouds sending lightning strikes down shaking the ground as she tries to escape to find shelter.

The clouds start to pour what seems to be rain.
The clear droplets turn to crimson while the sky pours like a waterfall.

Y/n's body is covered in the red liquid that is sticky with a taste of metal.

She continues to run until she sees a door in the distance, picking up her pace as her bare feet splash in the bloody puddles that are collecting around her. Finally arriving at the door from what felt like an eternity of running she reaches for the door knob only for the door to disappear.

"You're here forever, don't try to escape"

The loud haunting voice calls to the girl as she begins to cry holding her hands to her face to cover the fear and anger. She opens her eyes looking down at her hands seeing the red liquid pouring down her hands falling onto the ground below her.

Looking up to find another way out a mirror is sat in front of her, she looks into it seeing the blood flowing out of her eyes where her tears should be.
She grabs at her eyes trying to stop the blood only to feel more liquid pour down her hands.

Y/n shoots up in her bed hearing her alarm clock blaring waking her up for work. She sits in bed for a few more seconds lifting her hand up to her nose wiping it, she pulls her hand down looking at it with a worried expression.

Dark red blood covers her fingertips, feeling a shock freezing her body she can't move, all she can do is watch as the blood drops fall from her nose onto her blanket.

Once the bloody nose is done and the shock wears off she jumps out of her bed taking her blanket off and shoving it into the large wooden chest she has at the end of her bed to hide it from her family to save the worried conversation.

She gets ready about to leave her room looking back at her wooden chest one last time before closing her door walking downstairs.

Walking into the kitchen her family are all sitting at the dining table eating breakfast as they all don't have any activities until later because it's a Saturday morning in Hawkins which means there's not much to do.

She sits down beside Eleven and Will while the two talk about their plans with the Party.

Jonathan notices how quiet she is being and immediately doesn't feel right. He looks at her concerned noticing her distant look while she just stares at the breakfast in front of her.

"Honey do you want something else?" Joyce looks at her daughter confused.

"Huh..oh uh no it's great thank you" Y/n looks up at Joyce smiling.

"Are you okay?" Hopper asks looking up from his newspaper.

"Mmhm I work this morning so I should go" Y/n gets up quickly not saying another word to anyone as she makes her way to the door leaving the house to walk to the diner for her day shift until she goes to her recent new job at a local coffee shop as a barista.

On the way to the diner Y/n sees Nancy and tries to hide her face to avoid talking. She loves Nancy and loves talking to her but she can't talk to anyone right now not after the dream she just had.

Nancy notices this and looks where Y/n walked away to with a confused hurt expression thinking it was her that made Y/n not want to say hi.

Nancy decides to walk to the Byers/Hopper house to ask Jonathan what's going on with Y/n or if it really was just Nancy.

Nancy knocks on the front door and Jonathan opens it surprised to see his girlfriend with a worried expression.

"Hey Nance is everything okay?" Jonathan looks at her feeling the worry creep into his chest.

"Can we talk?" Nancy shifts on her feet uncontrollably.

"Yeah..yeah sure" Jonathan feels the panic building as he steps outside with her on the porch.

"Is everything okay?" Jonathan asks her nervously.

"Yes..well no..did I do something to Y/n?" Nancy asks him quietly feeling tears welling in her eyes.

"Nancy.." Jonathan loses his words thinking about how Y/n was acting this morning and how she's been for the past few weeks.

"It's not you okay..she's been really distant with everyone, Steve called yesterday wondering where she has been, ever since the double date she's been really distant and he's worried" Jonathan sighs grabbing Nancy's hands to stop her from fidgeting with her fingers.

"Nancy we'll figure out what's going on, I promise" Jonathan squeezes her hands smiling down at her trying to comfort his worried girlfriend who is his younger sister's best friend.

"Has she said anything?" Nancy looks up at him concerned continuing to play with her hands.

"No but she's been zoning out a lot and Max is freaked out, she won't stop calling" Jonathan sighs shaking his head remembering when the younger girl called demanding to speak to Y/n repeatedly.

"Zoning out.." Nancy repeats mumbling to herself.

"Nance what are you thinking?" Jonathan looks at her confused and a bit nervous.

"Vecna...we know we didn't kill him" Nancy looks up at Jonathan with fear flashing in her eyes.

"We need to talk to the group" Jonathan grabs her hand walking to the front door.

Jonathan and Nancy stand around the phone calling members of the group while Will gets ahold of the boys with their radios.
