"Kotenok," Raven called out as he walked amongst the trees. "Davay, Kotenok, pozvol' mne ob"yasnit', pozhaluysta. Ty mozhesh' doveryat' mne. (Come on, Kitten, let me explain, please. You can trust me.)"
"Nyet," her voice flowed over to him through the leaves, "ya ne mogu (I can't.)"
"Da you can, Alyona," Raven pleaded. "Let me tell truth, please. 143637."
Raven jumped back in surprise as she dropped down in front of him. She cupped his cheek and smiled sadly, "Uzhe nyet (Not anymore)." She placed a ghost of a kiss on his lips, "Goodbye Yevgeny Ravenstahl," she whispered as she took off running, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
"Alyona!" Raven shouted as he took off in the same direction, growling in anger when he couldn't spot her. "Luke!"
I'm looking Luke thought back through the beloved bond. "Shit!" He shouted as Alyona flicked her wrist and he went flying, landing against a tree before he dropped to the ground.
Raven came up to Luke and saw Alyona standing there with panic radiating from her. "Kotenok, stoy! Ouen i Viktor ne okhotniki, oni ushli ot svoikh semey! Oni razorvali vse svyazi so svoimi sem'yami, potomu chto ne khoteli stanovit'sya okhotnikami. Ya mogu eto dokazat', Kotenok. (Kitten, stop! Owen and Victor are not hunters, they walked away from their families! They severed all ties with their families because they didn't want to become hunters. I can prove it, Kitten.)"
"Nyet," she whispered as she shook her head. "Lies."
"Nyet," he shook his head. "I never lie to my kitten, never." He took a step toward her and she held her hand up. He took another step so she snapped her fingers and a small flame appeared right in front of his shoes. He stepped on it, putting out the fire, before he took another step to her. "Nyet scare me, Alyona. I nyet scare then, I nyet scare now."
"Ya znayu, chto ya videl. (I know what I saw)," she glared at him.
He nodded, "Ya tebe very, no ty ne znayesh' vsey pravdy. (I believe you, but you don't know the whole truth.)" He held his hand out, "143637. Sdelay eto, Alona (Do it, Alyona.)"
She gasped and took a step back, "Nyet." She shook her head furiously. "Nyet do it."
"Da," he nodded confidently. "I trust you, Kitten. You can do it."
"Nyet."
"Da," he nodded again as he stopped in front of her. "Do it, see truth yourself."
Gabe opened his mouth but Luke quickly covered it with his hand.
"Nyet," she whispered as Raven put one hand over his heart then placed her fingertips to his forehead. "Stop, Yevgeny."
"Nyet," he smirked confidently. "You need see truth."
"Believe you," she said trying to pull her hands from him.
"Bad liar," he chuckled and he held her hands firmly on him. "Now do it."
"Promise," she said as she looked into his eyes with fear.
"I promise, too much I stop you," he nodded, "pinky promise."
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The group watched as she pressed her fingertips into Raven's chest causing blood to start spilling out of him. At the same time she pressed the pads of her fingers onto his forehead even more, a hazy white mist started to swirl and flow around her hand. Raven didn't move as she began whispering something. Her eyes suddenly burst open, the hazel was now replaced with gold as her hair flowed around her even though there was no breeze. Luke pressed his hand against Gabe's mouth even harder.
The mist formed into a hazy scene beside Raven. The ghost of Owen and Victor stood before a ghost form of Raven and the rest of the group.
"Before we commit to being a family, we have something to say to you," Victor's voice filled the air. "Blackbourne and I come from families of hunters. They have tried forcing it upon us for as long as we can remember but we do not follow the family legacies."
"We swear upon death that we do not think like our families," Owen nodded. "You can put us up to any test you wish. As much as we want to form our family I couldn't not allow it without telling you the truth about our pasts."
Both Owen and Victor removed their shirts and showed the group the burn scars above where their hearts should be showing that their families had essentially burned them away.
The scene ended and suddenly the mist surrounded Alyona's head before floating away to form another scene. It's her vision Corey sent through the mindlink as they saw a ghostly form of Alyona standing on a balcony frozen as Owen and Victor start talking. They watched and listened to the whole vision forcing themselves not to react as the ghostly Victor dropped and Owen be lifted up before being stabbed as well. Rage coursed through them hearing Alyona's cries and screams before it dawned on them that it wasn't just the vision that was screaming and crying.
"Kitten enough," Raven groaned as he fought to remain standing. "Stop, Kitten, stop." Alyona was on the verge of hyperventilating as the tears continued to pour down her face. The wind whipped around them faster and stronger as the visions dissipated. "Alyona, stop." Raven used what strength he could to cup her face. "Alyona," her gold eyes locked onto his dark ones, "You in control. Stop, Kitten. 243637."
"Medved'"
Raven watched as the gold faded away, forming into hazel again. The wind slowed to a soft breeze as she pulled her hands away from him. "Good Kitten," Raven smiled proudly before dropping to his knees, falling into the pool of blood underneath him. His eyes rolled back as he fell onto his back, finally succumbing to what he just endured.
"Medved'" She gasped as everything spun and she fell beside Raven slipping into the silent abyss of darkness as her hand landed in his.
