Falling For You - Cedars Mind
"Can we go to the library?" Izzy asked, smiling at me. I nodded vigorously and jumped up, closing my book with the bookmark in my spot and running to her room.
"Well, we know Caroline's answer." I heard someone laugh. I quickly changed from my hoodie and sweats to a tank top and shorts. I threw my hair in a ponytail and walked back out with a smile on my face. Everyone else was getting shoes on and I slipped on my sandals.
Jack drove us there and I was beyond excited.
"I'll get you books and since you leave soon, i'll return them." Izzy said with a smile. I walked down each aisle, taking in the library. It was such a nice place i could cry. I ran my finger along the spines of the books as I slowly walked, making sure to look at every book I could.
Izzy broke off a few minutes in, finding a book she'd been wanting to read for a while. I was in awe and it was making me miss being back home. I tried not to think of it much, especially when my parents had to last minute cancel coming out.
"Wanna go upstairs?" Toby asked, throwing an arm around my shoulders as he smiled at me.
"There's a second floor?!" I asked, excited that there was more. He nodded and grabbed my hand, leading me to the elevator. There was a stairwell next to it and we ran into that door instead, running up the stairs with laughter bubbling in our throats.
God he made me feel alive.
We burst through the door at the top snd slowed our pace, walking around the shelves. We noticed how vacant the upstairs area was. It held more of the college level books for classes, so I figured that might be why.
"Tag." Toby said, "You're it."
"We are not-"
"Catch me!" He said, running down a line of shelves. I pondered my morals, it was terrible to shout in a library, but i didnt care.
"Get to running!" I yelled, chasing after him. I rounded the corner and just barely saw him run down an aisle. I ran down the next one and met him at the edges of them. He was three down from me.
The fucker's kinda fast.
I watched him run and i just ran to the one we started at. I crept to the other end and heard his footsteps come closer. He rounded the corner and had to quickly stop so he didn't run into me. I tagged him and took off.
"You fucker!" He yelled, his voice filled with laughter and happiness. I flipped him off before rounding the corner and running to where i previously saw a desk lines with computers. I sat down to catch my breath and simultaneously hide form him.
I heard him reach the area and stood up, staring at him with a winded smile.
"You're trapped." He said, his grin growing. I scanned the area and realized i was, indeed, trapped. I still booked it though, tried to get around him. It didn't work and he just wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up. "Gotcha!"
"No! Put me down!" I laughed, gripping onto his arms as he spun me around.
"Hey! Stop fuckin' around up here!" We heard a very brutish voice yell. We both froze, trying to contain our laughter.
"Let's go downstairs and get books." Toby said, putting me down and grabbing my hand. We walked back down the stairs and I picked out a few books with his help.
"Ready to go?" Izzy asked with a smile. Tommy was playing with the rings on her fingers and i smiled at how easily he was able to be distracted.
"Yeah, let's go home." I said with a smile. Jack rounded up Ranboo and we all went back to Will's house.
"What day do you go back?" Ranboo asked me, taking off his shoes next to me.
"Sometime within the next two weeks, unfortunately." I whispered. The reality seemed too real, the complete opposite of what it felt like when i came here.
"You think I coukd go bavk with you?"
"I live in Missouri, Ranboo." I laughed.
"I know." He whispered before walking off. I hope he didnt take that as a rejection, i dont mind if he goes to Missouri, just didn't know if he knew.
"Hey ranboo?" I called, trying to get his attention. He turned around and looked at me, i smiled softly at him. "You can fly home with me."
"Thank you." He responded after a pause. I nodded and he smiled at me. "She talked about you a lot to me. You're her favorite person to go to about books"
He walked off down the hall where everyone else was in Izzy's room. I smiled to myself.
she's my favorite to go to about books too.
"Care!" Toby yelled from the room. I smiled and ran back there with my books in my hands. I walked in and sat next to him on the floor.
"How does one get the bitches achievement? Because I'm pretty damn lonely here!" Jack said, laughing at his comment.
"You just gotta get good." Ranboo joked and we all laughed.
I'm going to miss this so fucking much.
