It's matchday at Goodison Park against Everton, meaning that our season gets underway today!

"Adriana, you'll be on the bench today, we don't think this is the right fixture for you to feature in" Our manager, Gareth Taylor tells me with a stern look on his face. How is Everton not the right fixture for me? They're easy to beat!

"So when will I be playing, sir?" I ask him, apprehensive about the answer.

"The first game this season that you'll be starting is against Arsenal, until then, you'll be on the bench incase we need you." He replies before walking away from me.

Are you kidding me? Arsenal?! That's over three weeks away!

"For fucks sake!" I shout, kicking the wall in frustration. How can he not play me?

"Woah, someone's moody today" A voice says from behind me, before they wrap their arms around my waist.

"Piss off Lauren, I'm not in the mood," I tell her, my accent breaking out in the process.

"If it helps, I'm not starting today either, and neither is G," she says, joy filling her voice.

"He's a bit stupid for letting us three all sit on the bench together, aye, Dri?" Georgia exclaims, suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

"Yeah, G, yeah he is" I respond whilst smirking.

Not too long later, we're in the dressing room, with G and Lauren either side of me, both smirking, clearly planning something.

"Dri, when the fuck are you going to change your shirt number, you've been number 29 for as long as I can remember" G states.

"G, it's because my normal numbers are all fucking taken, you have 10, which is the number I would normally wear because it's my girlfriend's birth date, Jess has 16 which is my girlfriends birth date and birth month added together, Lucy has 20 which is my birth date, 28 wasn't available when i joined, which is my birth date and my birth month added together, so i just chose 29" I tell her, rolling my eyes in the process.

"Alright moody," Lauren says before laughing and heading towards the bench, dragging me along with her.

The lineup for the game is: Benameur, Morgan, Houghton, Greenwood, Wright, Coombs, Losada, Weir, Raso, Shaw and Beckie. With me, G, Ellen, Alanna, Lauren, Jill, Demi, and Khiara on the bench.

We aren't even playing our best 11 and we're still dominating the game.

"Which player do you think is gonna score first?" G questions me and Lauren.

"Probably Khadija" Lauren answers with no thought behind the question.

"I'd say either Hayley or Vicky, they look like they're playing well." I tell them both.

"Vicky? I doubt it, but Hayley I agree with" G says.

Gareth turns around to us three and shouts at us for being too 'loud and distracting' like fuck we are, shove that up your ass, Gareth...

At half time, we're leading 3-0 with the scorers being Vicky, Janine and Khadija (meaning my assumption was right).

Gareth comes over to us and tells Ellen, G, Lauren, Alanna and Jill that they'll all be coming on in the second half, meaning that I'll be left on the bench without my friends for a while and I won't be playing today. Brilliant.

As the second half begins, we're still playing the same as before half time, however Everton have made two changes (don't ask me who, I do not know their names). Before long, the coaching team call G, Ellen and Lauren up to get warmed up, leaving me alone, well apart from Jill.
