Chapter 54- What?

It has been a few weeks since the match against Chelsea, and in that time, we've played Aston Villa, Leeds, and West Ham.

Our next two matches are against Man City, before we go on international duty, but Jonas has told me I won't be in the squad for the next match as he wants to rest me, which is fine by me.

Ona has said that she needs to call me tonight as she has some news? But I have no idea what that is about.

Gio is still staying with me, having decided that for the time being, it's just easier for her to not move as this is still a relatively new place for her.

Leah, of course, knows of this decision and has been round a few times to try to become closer to Gio, which I think is working.

Currently, I have Leah, Beth, Viv, Jen, Steph, Lia, Katie, and Vic round, with this being the first time Leah had seen anyone from the squad outside of training or matches for a few weeks.

Jordan has recently left Arsenal and joined Aston Villa, which has hit Leah hard even though they've been broken up for a while. Which, I completely understand that even though they may not be friends or close anymore, Jordan was still a massive part of Leah's life.

So rightfully, Leah has taken time away from everyone, including me, to ground herself and to get over it.

I must admit, it hurt that Leah pulled away from me as well whilst she was trying to heal from it, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Leah is sat on the sofa with Lia, laughing at a joke that Beth has said, whereas I'm standing in the kitchen with Gio, watching the whole interaction.

"Estás bien?" Gio asks me as she comes to stand directly beside me, intertwining my fingers with her own. (Are you okay?)

"No sé. Siento que Leah se está alejando de mí." I answer truthfully whilst frowning before bringing my free hand up to comb through my hair. (I don't know. I feel like Leah is pulling away from me)

Gio frowns in response before casting her attention towards Leah and nodding, squeezing my hand slightly in a reassuring manner.

It's at this point that Katie walks into the kitchen and notices mine and Gio's hand, her eyes instantly darting up to reach my own as a scowl spreads across her face.

"Katie -" I begin to say before she cuts me off.

"Whatever is going on with you two needs to stop, because you're going to fuck up the whole dynamic of the team if you're not careful." Katie spits out, which fills me with anger.

I pull my hand away from Gio's and shove Katie into the wall, pinning her against it with my arm across her neck.

"I don't know what you think you know, McCabe, but I can assure you that whatever it is is wrong. I have told you before that I'm in love with Leah, I'm not a fucking cheater." I tell her before she breaks free of my grip and shoves me back.

What both of us fail to notice is that Gio has slipped out of the room and back into the living room, trying to get everyone's attention to separate us both.

Before Katie and I can do anything else, two pairs of arms wrap around both of us, pulling us both back.

Lia and Jen have their arms around Katie, whereas Steph and Vic have their arms around me, holding us both back.

Leah is standing off at the side with a disapproving look on her face, as Beth and Viv are stood there as well with their crutches.

Gio is hanging back, not wanting to be involved in the slightest.

"What the fuck happened?" Beth asks us both, making me scowl and shove both Steph and Vic off of me so that I can sit down.

"Dri is a fucking cheat!" Katie shouts, making me scoff and roll my eyes as I stand back up to make my way over to the cupboard, pulling out a bottle of whiskey.

"What do you mean?" Steph asks with a frown on her face as she looks between both Katie and I.

"She's fucking Gio whilst she's still with Leah!" Katie accuses, making me roll my eyes as I pour some of the whiskey into a glass and take a swig of it.

"Dri, do you have anything to say?" Jen asks me with a glare, making me look up in surprise.

"Wait, you actually think I'm cheating on her?" I say with a laugh before shaking my head and finishing off the glass of whiskey.

"I don't." Viv says with a small voice, causing everyone to turn and look at her with a glare.

"Neither do I." Vic says, agreeing with Viv, which makes me smile at the two Dutchies.

"I'm not fucking Ads, she's just my friend." Gio says with a scoff as she comes to sit next to me, snatching the bottle of whiskey off of me and taking a swig of it.

"Then why were you holding hands?" Katie asks with a frown.

"Fóllame." I mutter under my breath, making Gio laugh.

"No gracias, Anuncios." Gio replies, making me roll my eyes before I look up at Leah.

Leah smiles at me, letting me know that she trusts me and believes me, which I'm grateful for.

"She's Spanish, Katie! They're overaffectionate!" Beth says with a laugh.

I shake my head and excuse myself as I see my phone is ringing.

I walk out of the room and into my bedroom, picking up the FaceTime call from my best friend.

"Onita, qué necesitas decirme?" I ask as I answer the phone. (What do you need to tell me?)

"Inglés, Dri." She tells me, making me sigh in response before nodding as I prop my phone up against my lamp.

"What do you need to tell me?"

"It's not what, it's more of who..." She answers, making me quirk an eyebrow up.

"Who? Are you dating someone?" I say with a smirk, making Ona turn red before I see someone I was not expecting to see step behind her.

"Dri! Fuck, Ona, why didn't you say you were calling her now!"

"Lucy." I reply, eyes narrowing at my friend, causing her to gulp in response.

"Dri! Be nice!" Ona scolds me, making me roll my eyes.

"Lucy, you break her heart, and you have one thing coming for you, Ona, same with you." I tell them both, making them both blush in response.

"We only made it official yesterday, Dri, calm down." Lucy tells me.

"What?" I say with my eyebrows raised, "who else knows?"

"No one." Ona answers, making me smile.

They told me first.

"I've got to go, but I expect to be told how this relationship started the next time I see you both." I say with a smirk, the couple quickly agreeing before I bid them both goodbye.

A/N- I am getting stuck at what to write, and I'm very tempted to do a timeskip, but what it would be to would upset you guys so I'm unsure of what to do.

Do I do a timeskip and get further along with the story, or do I continue with random filler chapters with mini timeskips in?
