Chapter 72- The Truth

"Well?" Leah asks, staring directly at me and Gio, ignoring Lucy's comment.

"Let's not do this here, yeah, Leah?" Lucy says, stepping away from her girlfriend, who comes over to mine and Gio's side.

"And why the hell not, Lucy?" Leah snaps at the defender, causing her eyes to go wide.

Before I can say anything, Keira cuts into the conversation.

"Leah, this isn't the place for a conversation like this, and you know it." Keira tells her best friend.

This causes me to turn my head and look at Keira, who is being held similarly as I am with Gio by Laura, her own girlfriend.

Keira shoots me a slight smile before turning to look at Ona.

Ona rolls her eyes in response, seemingly knowing what Keira is asking before nodding.

"Sí, we can do this at ours." Ona says, making everyone turn to look at her.

Leah furrows her eyebrows at this before rolling her eyes and nodding slightly.

It's then that Lucy walks over and hands me my bag, instructing me and Gio to follow them back to the car.

"¿Es realmente una buena idea para mí estar allí?" Gio asks, shooting a glance at Leah before tilting her head at me. (Is it really a good idea for me to be there?)

"Vani, básicamente eres mi novia, tienes todo el derecho de estar ahí." I tell her reassuringly, kissing her temple before wrapping an arm around her waist to walk her out to the car. (Vani, you're basically my girlfriend. You have every right to be there)

Keira follows, with both Laura's and Leah behind her, telling us she'll meet us at mine, Lucy's and Ona's place.

Lucy bites her lip, glancing at Laura (Keira's girlfriend) curiously before nodding.

After a while, we arrive back at the apartment, although Keira and that lot aren't here yet.

As soon as we walk through the doors, Narla and Coco rush over to the four of us excitedly, demanding fuss.

Lucy and Ona nod at me and Gio, silently telling us to retreat into my bedroom to compose ourselves before hell breaks loose.

As we walk into my bedroom, I instantly throw myself onto my bed, groaning as Gio comes and sits next to me.

"¿Estás bien, amor?" She asks me, pulling me into her chest. (Are you okay, love?)

"No sé. Tengo miedo de lo que esta por pasar." I tell her, frowning. (I don't know. I'm scared at what's about to happen)

Before she can say anything else, Ona walks into the room, nodding at us both.

They're here.

I sigh, rubbing my hands against my face before standing up and grabbing a hoodie out of my wardrobe, putting it on, and walking out of my bedroom with Gio following me.

Instead of sitting on the sofa, I sit on one of the dining room chairs, with Gio sitting on another one whilst Ona and Lucy are standing.

A moment later, there's a knock on the door, revealing everyone else as Lucy opens the door.

Narla instantly recognises Keira and runs over to her, jumping up at her second parent.

"Drinks?" Ona asks from beside me, looking directly at everyone else.

Most people say water, other than Lucy, who doesn't say anything and just walks into the kitchen with Ona.

Laura F, Keira, and Leah all sit down on the sofa, whereas Laura W sits on the armchair that I usually sit on.
