I finish mopping the floor while Steve and Robin wrap up in the back.
"Guys, I'm done! I'm going outside for a smoke", I shout to the other room
"Okay!", I hear Robin yell back.
I grab my cigarette pack and my lighter and go out the door. I light one up and take a long drag. I throw my head back leaning against the wall letting the smoke drift out of my mouth.
Suddenly, a thud comes from behind the store and I flinch.
"Hello?", I call out peaking my head out to the other side to check. Nothing.
Damn it. I'm still paranoid.
"Hey!", two hands touch me from behind and I jump up in fright with a gasp and turn around
"Hey there, love", he says with a smile on his face
"Eddie!", I hiss out "Damn it, you scared the crap outta me", I say exhaling in relief while he chuckles "You know, there's a word that people use for introductions. Maybe try a hello from time to time to throw me off the trails"
"I have my way of throwing you off the trails", he says smugly
"Oh really? And what would tha-"
He grabs my hips bringing me closer to him and plants his lips on mine. Damn it, he always catches me off guard. I love it, though. How he always surprises me. I kiss him back placing my hands behind his neck. He's just so amazing.
He breaks the kiss looking in my eyes.
"That way", he says and I can't help but blush
"Shut up, I'm-", I nudge him slightly
"Turning red? Yeah, I can see that", he says smugly and I smile
I narrow my eyes and slowly run my fingers through his hair. He smiles at me and I lean in for another kiss. How bout some revenge. At last second I ruffle his hair with both my hands.
"Y/N! No!", He says backing away and I let go "Com'on!", he sighs in desperation
"That's what you get for never letting me finish"
"Well, you're annoying when you talk", he jokes coming close again
"You're annoying when you exist", I shoot back
He comes even closer now
"You're annoying when you're so damn hot", he looks down at me and I feel my face warm up again
"Bah-ha!", he hits his hands together amused and I shake my head pleasantly annoyed "Red suits you, though", he says with a smile
"Too bad. Cause smug doesn't suit you"
"Bullshit", he says setting his hands on my waist "It does and you know it", he says and a smile forms on my lips as we look in eachother's eyes "So you uhm...you busy tonight? Like sevenish?", he says looking down shyly
"No...why?"
"I just thought we'd do something", he shrugs
"The Hideout?", I ask
"No, I...had something else in mind"
"What then?", I ask intrigued
"Let's leave that to a mystery, shall we?"
"What? No, just tell me", hitting his arm gently
"Nope", but he sticks to it "I'll just pick you up at 7:30"
"Eddie", I complain
"I promise, you won't regret it", he says reassuringly
I sigh in defeat
