The lights had all gone out, and his eyes began to adjust to the dark. All he saw was two white glowing orbs floating in the dark void.

As his eyes adjusted further, he began to see a bone white wolf skull for a face that housed its eyes. Long black hair ran down from its head, and two pointy black ears poked out the top of the hair.

He stood in complete silence as his eyes finished adjusting to the dark and revealed the body of the creature. It was clearly a female based on the curves and its bust. It had legs like a wolf and paws, too. She was wearing an orange prison jumpsuit with writing on it, and she stood up tall at about six and a half feet.

"Hello?" A staticy voice filled the room.

"Hello?" James replied back, "Who are you?"

"You sound calm considering an invisible creature is standing across from you."

"I see you."

"Maybe the clothes im wearing."

"I see all of you. I see your clothes. I see your face!"

"You see my face?" She looked flustered.

"Yeah."

"You shouldn't. No one has ever seen me with their bare eyes."

"You talk so nonchalant, why?" James wanted to know if she was friendly or not.

She did not respond. She seemed to be lost in thought about something.

"Knock, knock, knock!" Someone knocked on the front door.

James didn't stop looking at the creature.

"Better get the door," she said and hid behind the couch.

"Knock, knock, knock!" Whoever was at the door knocked harder that time.

James walked quickly to the front door and flicked the light switch off and on until the lights finally turned on. He faced the door and opened it ajar and peeked out.

He was met by a familiar face staring right at him.

"You going to fucking open the door?" It was his friend Steven and Sherrie was standing behind him.

James stared at them speechless. He didn't know what to say to them. How could they speak like nothing was wrong?

"Well?" Steven dragged the word out.

James opened the door, "Come in."

"Thank you." Steven and Sherrie walked in from the cold crisp night.

"Did you guys not get my text?"

"Well..." Steven was saying.

"Steven, shut up," Sherrie cut him off quickly, "James we were worried about you and came to visit just in case."

"I'm ok guys."

"You sure? Sherrie was telling me-" Steven started talking.

"James, you got a woman here?" Sherrie quickly cut Steven off again.

"No! What?" James got flustered.

"I see what's going on, and I thought you were a brick short of a load," Sherrie said.

"How can you tell Sherr?" Steven wanted to know.

"Women's intuition" is all she said.

"Ohhh, you sly dog Jamie boy!" Steven said with a smile.

"Don't call me that!" James was visibly annoyed.

"Ha ha! Jamie boy." Sherrie chimed in.

"Can you guys leave? It's just me here."
