Chapter 3: different first day

still 2 months earlier 

Lapis/pov

It took months of begging my girlfriend to let me live in the dorm room, she didn't want me to because I would be to far from her all the time. You probably think that's so sweet but it's not, jasper took me in when we first started dating because I had strict parents. They were the kind of parents who would never let me leave the house in fact I was homeschooled until high school, which Is where I met jasper, my girlfriend. She was nice at first but once I moved in it was like I was trapped again, I only left for school. 

Before I finally left jasper told me to come over at 6:00pm every Wednesday, I didn't really want to, but I had to say yes or bad things would happen...  "jasper do you want to help me move my stuff in?" I asked in a quiet tone because I was scared of the answer "no! Why would I help you, I don't even want you to leave!" She practically yelled at me "o-oh okay sorry for asking" "DON'T TRY TO MAKE ME FEEL BAD" she yelled while looking like she was going to hit me 'jasper has a really short temper, I don't love her like at all, but I'm scared of what she'll do if I leave.' "You-r right I'm sorry" I pleaded "good now go I'll see you on Wednesday 6:00pm SHARP!" "Yes of course, bye jasper" she didn't reply.

It wasn't too long of a drive to my campus but long enough for me to be bored. I was really hoping my roommate would be nice, maybe I can make a real friend.  Once I arrived I grabbed as much stuff as I could carry. It took me a while to get it all up to my room, but I managed.  As I was unlocking the door to my room I could hear noises inside 'I guess my roommates here' I thought to myself

I walked in to see my roommate, she was looking at me, no wait staring at me. I think I recognize her but I don't know. "Umm... hi" I said kinda shy "oh uh hello" she smiled at me. I didn't want to be rude, so I smiled back.  'She had a really nice smile it was cut-  LAPIS STOP, YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND' I scolded myself. I couldn't stop thinking about her tho, her smile, her nerdy glasses, everything about her was so cute! Ugh I need to stop being gay I have a GIRLFRIEND. After a while I realized I didn't ask for her name, shoot.

One week later when classes start

After a while I finally figured out my roommates name, it was peridot. I had been stuck in a room with her for a while, but we still haven't talked. There were a few nights where I was crying, one because I was scared to go to jasper's place, and two because of what jasper had done while i was there. 

I started walking to my first class with jaspers friends when I saw peridot walking by herself, I guess she doesn't have any friends either. The class was a bore, and so was the rest of the week 

Time skip to Wednesday

I had just finished classes for today, but I wasn't really paying attention. How could I, I had to go to jasper's today, and I was dredging it.

I walked over to door at 5:00pm and took one last glance at Peridot, but this time she looked back.  I saw her blush when we made eye contact which made me blush, she opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out, bummer.  I left, even tho I wanted to stay and just talk to her for hours, but I knew if I didn't leave jasper wouldn't take that well... 

I arrived at jasper's just in time, but I guess not being early is late to her because I was greeted with a slap to the face "that's what you get for being late" she stated. I wanted to argue but I knew if I did she would just slap me again, or worse.  "I'm so sorry jasper it won't happen again" I pleaded "it better not!" I walked in, and looked around feeling instant anxiety because I have so many terrible memories of this place. 

"So how's your first week of college so far?" Jasper asked in a surprisingly nice way "um it was fine." I responded a little shaky, but she ignored it "is your roommate a girl or a boy!?" That's why she was being so nice she wanted information. "It's a boy jasper nothing to worry about" I lied. I had to lie if I didn't she would make me move back in or worse she could hurt peridot. "Good" she replied firmly. She knows I would never like a boy so I can't tell her it's a girl especially since i think I have a crush on my roommate, who I have never talked too, great.

AN/ this took me forever to write and it's not the best. next chapter is going to be fun so please don't stop reading this 😞( hehe fun 😈)
