See You Again *Shohei Ohtani*

Mixed Reactions (Rewritten)

It's been a couple of days since Shohei and I announced that we were engaged, and it had gotten mixed reactions. We were going to have dinner at his parents, which made me nervous. They were the ones that had the mixed reaction, which I understood. I stayed with Shohei so I could rehearse my lines, which Shohei didn't find necessary.

"Babe, just be yourself. I didn't propose to facade you, I proposed to you. They're going to love you, I promise." I looked at him. "Shohei what if they don't like me. I was a bad influence on you. What if they think I'm still like that?" He shrugged. "That sounds like a them problem. Listen, making you my wife doesn't mean you have to change who you are, you are not here to please people." I nodded. "You're right." He pulled me closer to him and caressed the side of my face. "I meant what I said, I'm marrying you for you. I love you." Tears streamed down my face from being so overwhelmed, but he wiped my tears away. "I love you too."

I went and got dressed for going to see his parents again. I wore a black dress with a red cardigan and heels. Not only that, but, I did my makeup and went out into the living room where Shohei was waiting. He was wearing a white button up with black slacks and black shoes. "Can you please me help with my tie?" I nodded and started to tie his tie for him. As I was doing that, he was looking at me. I looked up and met his eyes with mine. "You're going to be an excellent wife." I blushed as I fixed his collar and kissed him. "You think so?" "Oh, I know so."

We headed out to go to his parents' house. Their house was so nice, and it made me even more intimidated. "Did they remodel the house?" He nodded. They finally let me fix it up." He locked hands with me and that gave me a sense of comfort. It was as if we were in this together. He knocked on the door and his mother Kayoko opened the door. "Konnichiwa ､ Shohei to kare no utsukushii hanayome . dozo haitsu te kudasai." (Hello Shohei and his beautiful bride. Please come in.) She said, smiling.​ I gave her a smile and bowed my head and went in. Throughout the whole visit, my stomach was in knots. "Yuushoku wa arigatou､ hontouni oishikatsu ta desu." (Thank you for dinner, that was really good.) I said, bowing my head. Shohei's neck almost snapped when he heard my Japanese for the first time. "Doitashimashite." (You're welcome.) She said, bowing her head.

We talked a little more before leaving. It honestly wasn't that bad. His parents' only concern was him stopping baseball. But after they learned that wasn't the case, they gave their full blessing. "I told you it wasn't going to be so bad." I rolled my eyes. "I'm so used to speaking English that I almost forgot Japanese is my native language." He laughed. "I'm not going to lie, I forgot you even speak Japanese. We converse in English so much."

"Dude over the years, your English has become impeccable."  "Yeah that's what everyone says. It was my interpreter, Ippei. He talked to me in English and it helped me. But I still use him because I'm not confident in my English just yet." I gave him a weird look. "Your English sounds fine." He shook his head no. "Not as good as yours."

We reached his apartment and I was so exhausted. We got into his apartment and I plopped right in his bed. "My sweet girl, you have to a least get in pajamas. You look uncomfortable." I groaned, not wanting to get up. "Do I have to? My dress feels comfy to me. He laughed and took my shoes off. I got out of the bed and put a night gown on. I took my makeup off and did my nightly face routine before going back to bed. Shohei pulled me on top of him and I laid my head on his chest. I fell asleep instantly.

We slept for the rest of the night.

I woke up and Shohei was snoring. I slowly removed myself from his arms. He looked so cute with his messy hair. I hopped in the shower getting washed and clean for the day. I went into the room and Shohei was still sleeping. I had a eventful day planned for him and I. Getting dressed I went out into the kitchen and started breakfast. The smell must've woken Shohei up because I heard shower water running. I finished up with breakfast and made our plates. He came into the kitchen fully clothed drying his hair. "Good morning, my love." I smiled. "Good morning." I said before kissing him. "The smell of food woke me up." I laughed. "I knew it would. You can't resist eggs and bacon." "I can too, I just can't resist when you make it."

I made our plates and we chowed down on the good food. "What do we have planned for the day?" He frowned. "I have a game today. So after this I'm going to be leaving." "That's fine, I have to go back to my apartment and start packing anyway. The things won't move themselves." "Are you excited to move in with me?" I thought about it and he playfully nudged me. I laughed. "I'm really excited even though I was kinda already living here." "You do have a point." I went and washed dishes before going to my apartment.

"Please be safe, I don't want you getting injured." I said as he came out to the kitchen with his bag. "Yes mom." I laughed. "Love you." He said kissing me before leaving. "I love you too." He left and I had so much to do. That's when I got a phone call.

"Hey Hannah, this is Liz." I smiled. "Hey! How have you been?" I asked. "I've been good, I'm calling to let you know that I'm going to be in Japan today. Is it cool if I crash with you?" "Sure, I don't see why not." I obliged. "I'm just packing if you want to help?" She gasped. "Where are you moving to? You've only been in that apartment for a year." "I'm moving in with my fiancé." She gasped even more. "Who's your fiancé?" "Shohei, he proposed a couple of days ago-" "and I missed it?" I laughed. "It was a very un the moment thing." "I can't wait to see the ring, I'm so happy for you!" She said excited. "Well I'm going to get my apartment ready for your stay. When you see boxes ignore them." She laughed. "I understand, trust me. Talk to you soon!" "See ya." I said as we hung up.

I headed to my apartment to get things around for Liz.
