See You Again *Shohei Ohtani*

New Chapter

Today, Shohei made his big decision to sign with the Dodgers on a 10-year contract for 700m. Today was his introduction to the dodgers. He got dressed, and I helped him with his tie and fixed his collar. He put his suit jacket on and his watch. "Do I look good?" He asked. "You always look good to me." He smiled. "You look great, my love." I added. I put on a dress that hugged my curves. It was a blue long sleeved dress and I matched it with my red heels and purse. "Damn, I got lucky." He said, twirling me around. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. "You ready to go?" I nodded. We went out to the car, and he opened the door for me. He got in and drove us to the event. As we got there, paparazzi swarmed his car. He parked and got out, I think sometimes he forgets he's famous.

He opened my door for me and lent me a hand. I grabbed his hand and got out. I was nervous because I haven't been 100% truthful with Shohei. Not only that, but I was pregnant and starting to show. I blamed it on overeating, but it's starting to become hard to hide. I intend to tell him at home tonight, but I'm not sure how he was going to take it. This is a big chapter in his life, and he said he doesn't want kids right now. "Are you okay?" I heard him ask. "Yes, just deep into thought, is all." I put my hand in his, and he laced his fingers with mine.

I sat in the back to stay away from the attention. One thing Shohei knows about me is I'm not flashy, and I don't like being in the limelight. The event started, and I couldn't help but tear up a bit when he put his jersey on. I was so proud of him and he deserves this so much. As he gave his speech in Japanese, he looked right at me. "None of this would be possible without my beautiful wife, Hannah. She really pushes me to be great, and I'm so thankful for her." His interpreter said. I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot. He then had an introductory conference. After, he motioned me up, and I went up, and we got pictures together.

After the event, we went home and I put my sweatpants and hoodie on. Shohei did the same thing and we relaxed. "I hope you didn't mind me adding you into my speech." I caressed the side of his face. "I didn't mind at all, my love." He kissed me. "Thank you for being by my side through all of this." "No problem, I love seeing you achieve so much. I honestly can't wait for this next adventure with you." I said as I fidgeted with his fingers. "Me too." I couldn't get my mind off of the fact that I still have to tell him that I'm pregnant, but I don't want him to get mad.

"Are you okay? You have that same spaced out look on your face you had earlier." I had to confess eventually. "I have another exciting moment for you." I went into the bathroom and grabbed the pregnancy test. I then went out and handed it to him. Nervous about his reaction, I hid my face. "No way." He said speechless. "I'm going to be a dad?" He asked. "Yes." I replied. He stood up and hugged me. "My sweet girl, why are you covering your face? This is remarkable news." I was so relieved to see him happy. "I thought you would be mad because you're going to a new team, and you may not be ready." He then took my face into his hands. "I would never be mad. This is better than signing with the Dodgers!" He kissed me passionately. "I love you and our little one you're carrying." He put his hand on my stomach and I smiled.

"How long have you been hiding this?" He paused. "Your overeating is because you were pregnant." I nodded. "I couldn't really hide it anymore." He laughed. "When were you going to tell me?" I shrugged. "I wanted to tell you when I found out, but then I got scared that you would be upset you said you didn't want any kids right now." He felt bad. "Just because I said that doesn't mean I'm not ready. I just wanted the time for you to adjust to everything first and then think about having children." I teared up. "I'm sorry." He lifted my chin with his finger and kissed me. "Don't be sorry, you're fine. I get why you did it, the other guys before me probably would've broken up with you, but I'm not them." He said in a soothing voice. I nodded my head, and he pulled me into a big hug.

"Thank you for showing me what a real man is. I love you, Shotani." He smiled. "I love you too, my sweet girl." He kissed my forehead as I laid my head on his chest, listening to his heart beat.
