I got to my apartment and started cleaning the boxes out of the guest room. I made the bed and went out into the living room to resume packing. I heard a knock at the door, and I went to answer it. "Hey girl!" I smiled and hugged her. "Come, get settled in." I said, welcoming her in. She looked at my ring and dropped her stuff. "Omg Hannah, this ring is beautiful!! You look so happy, and I'm here for it. Are you guys going to do a big ceremony or is it going to be small?" "I think we're going to do a small private one here in Japan and then in America so all of his baseball friends can be there... or just have a big one and all his baseball friends will be flying here." I said packing some things.

"How's Izzy?" I asked. Liz shrugged. "I haven't talked to her since she tried calling Shohei." She said angrily. "I went on Facebook, and she's involved with some drug dealer in America. It's a mess." "As long as she's happy, I guess." I said, shrugging. "I'm just glad you forgave him and stuck by him. He seems like a sweetheart." "He is!" I said, smiling to myself.

I turned the game on, and started packing more things. Liz was getting settled in, and I remembered I had to text Shohei.

"Hey just so you know, I won't be staying tonight. Liz flew in and needed somewhere to stay. I love you so much, and will talk to you soon. Play good for me!❤️"

I put my phone down and got lost in watching the game that I forgot to continue to pack. Liz came out into the living room with comfy clothes on and began to help me. "How did you fit so much in a small apartment like this?" I shrugged. "Your guess is better than mine." She laughed. As she was putting things in a box, she noticed a picture of he and I when we were younger. "Omg look at you guys. You were too cute!" I smiled as I remembered this picture being taken. This was the day Shohei left.

"Maybe taking a picture with you will cheer you up." Shohei said. We took the picture, but I remember tears streaming down my face. "It won't. It's just going to remind me that you're gone." He frowned. "I'm not dead, I'm just leaving for a while. I will be back for you." He pulled me in for one last hug. "Hannah?" I snapped out of my thoughts. "Hmm?" "Shohei's up to bat." I looked and there he was. He looked determined to hit a home run. He stood in his stance and the pitcher hit him with the ball. Shohei yelped out in pain as the ball struck him in his rib cage. I gasped, angry, knowing that the pitcher did that on purpose. He shook it off and walked to first. He glanced at the pitcher, shooting daggers at him. It's very seldom when you see him mad, but when he does? I would rather not be on the other side of that wrath.

"I hope he's okay." Liz said, wincing at the sight. "He's fine, even though he may be sore tomorrow. I'll go check on him tonight when he gets home." "Good call!" She replied. "Are you hungry? Lord knows, I'm starving." She nodded. "Yes." We grabbed our bags and went to that ramen restaurant Shohei took me to. "Shohei brought me here, and ever since then I've been obsessed with their ramen." "Oooh I can't wait to try this." The waiter seated us and handed us. Menus. "What's good on here?" "The Banshu ramen and the Kyoto Ramen. I haven't tried the others yet."

"Hey my name is Matthew. I will be your server for the evening, can I start you guys off with some drinks?" He asked. "I'll take a green tea with lemon-" "and I would like water with lemon." He wrote it down. "And are you ready to order?" I nodded. "I would like the Kyoto-" "I would like that as well, please." He nodded and finished our orders. "That will be right out for you ladies." He said as he went to retrieve our drinks.

"So how have you been? I feel like we honestly haven't talked in forever, but it's only been a month." "It has felt like forever. I've been well, I've been working and just going home. Nothing really exciting, but I believe I have met my potential boyfriend. We're still talking, but he's such a sweet person, and he cares so much about me." I smiled. "I knew I saw that glow on your face, I just couldn't put my finger on it!" She nodded. "That's what it is. Now you and I can do double dates." "Of course."

Our food got to the table, and I was starving. "So, have you and Shohei thought of having any kids?" I choked on my noodles. Liz came and patted me on my back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you choke." I laughed. "It's fine, I must be eating too fast. "We haven't really talked about that yet. I mean I'm very open to having a family of my own, but I don't know how he feels about it. He would be such a great dad, and I try to build up the courage for that question, but it never leaves my mouth."

"I understand." She said. It's one of those difficult things to talk about." I agreed. "I remember when him and I were younger, talking about stuff like that wasn't really hard to talk about, but now that I'm in the place of being his fiancé I feel like I shouldn't be scared." "Maybe you're afraid of his answer to your question?" She said taking a bite of food. "That's probably what it is." We finished the rest of our dinner and walked back to my place. I saw Shohei's car there. I went in, and he was in comfy clothes helping me pack as well. He looked up and saw me. "Hey, I just came to help you pack for a bit before going home." "Okay that's fine." He pulled me in close to lean in and kissed me. "How was your game?" He lifted his shirt and showed the huge ass bruise on his side.

"It looks worse than it feels." He looked over at Liz and his face turned red. "Sorry about that, Liz." She laughed. "It's fine. I'm going to start packing in the guest room so that way it's done." "Thank you, Liz. I said. "I watched the game, but we left in the middle of it because we were hungry." He smiled. "That's okay my sweet girl, I don't expect you to watch every game."

We continued packing into the late night. Shohei left for the night while Liz and I were getting ready for bed. "Goodnight Liz." "Night." I went into my room and closed the door. I laid in bed and got comfy. It honestly wasn't the same without Shohei's body next to mine. I hugged a pillow and fell asleep instantly from all the packing we did today. We're almost done, just have additional things. Then I'll be all set to move.
