After the servants have unpacked your things and you've gotten settled into your chambers. You set out to explore the castle. You've never been to a castle before, and as you walk up and down the hallways, you take it all in, every detail, the paintings hanging on the walls, the intricate carvings on the pillars, and boarders. A portrait manages to grab your attention, and you stop to look at it. The painting was of a young Queen Catherine. As you stare at, you're nearly knocked over by someone very determined to get where he is going.

You: Oh, I'm sorry.

Francis: You should learn to watch where you're standing.

You: You're the one who nearly ran me over.

Francis: Only because you're the one standing in my way.

You: You could've just said Excuse me, or did the nannies not teach you any manners?.

He looks at you somewhat stunned at the fact someone is actually arguing with him.

Francis: I have more manners than you can count.

You: I can count higher than zero.

Francis: Do you know who you're talking to?

You: A spoiled little boy in want to be man's body.

Francis: For your information. I was the perfect child, so perfect, I moved out of the nursery early. All the nannies cried.

You: They were celebrating your departure.

Francis: Don't you have other people to annoy?

You: No, just you.

(Annoyed, death stare)

You: Shouldn't you be leaving?

Francis: Yes, and happily thanks to you.

He stomps off one way while you go the other.

Later, you and your sister Mary are on your way to a golf tournament.

Mary: I can't believe we're actually here. It doesn't seem possible.

You: No. I suppose it doesn't.

Mary: The Dauphin is more handsome than I could have ever imagined.

You: (Under your breath) If you want to marry a donkey

Mary: And I could be his wife and the next Queen of France.

You: Yes, that would be wonderful. (Under your breath) They could change the song to "Mary had donkey,"

A few moments later, you're outside, getting settled into your seats. You're joined by Francis.

Francis: Ladies!

Mary: (happy, smiling) You're highness.

You: (cold stare,unimpressed) You're grace.

Francis makes his way to the left side of Mary, and they start talking. You quickly get bored of their conversation. A few minutes later, a tall man with brown hair and green eyes joins you.

Bash: Francis! Ladies!

Francis: Bash! Mary? Y/N? This is my half-brother Bash.

Mary: Hello Bash.

You: Hi.

The four of you continue to watch the tournament until

Francis: Are you enjoying the tournament, Mary?

Mary: Yes.

Francis: Y/N?

You: I'm bored.

Bash: You're not a fan of golf?

You: No, it always fails to entertain me.

Bash and Francis look at each other. Bash surprised by your bluntness.

Mary: My sister prefers more challenging sports.

Francis turns to look at you.

Francis: Truly? What kind of sports?

You: Anything where there's a risk of injury, really.

You look at him.

You: It humbles the arrogant.

He reads between the lines and goes back to watching the tournament. Annoyed.

You: Excuse me.

You walk away. Bash catches up to you.

Bash: So you're the one with all the fire.

You: Better a fire than the desire for mediocrity.

Bash: And the comfort of tradition.

You: Yes.

Bash: So what do you think about Francis?

You: I think the princess is getting her blood.

He looks down, trying to hide a smile

Bash: So you're the one who was arguing with him in the hallway earlier.

You: He was rude to me. He almost knocked me over on his way to wherever he was going. And then he had the nerve to say that I should watch where I was standing even though he was the one who bumped into me.

You and Bash talk for a while longer. He is a good listener. The two of you become instant friends.
