chapter six. tragic events
AFTER tossing and turning, Alaessa must have fallen asleep and awoke to hearing screams.
Alaessa rubbed her eyes, as she sat up getting up from bed and throwing on her robe and quickly opening the door.
Alaessa heard ruckus in one of the rooms, the doors opened for her and she entered, seeing her two brothers mostly bloody.
"Oh my seven hells, Luke! Jace!" Alaessa ran over to them, "What happened?" She asked as she stroked both of their heads. Alaessa heard a slap, "That was nothing compared to the abuse your brother suffered," Alaessa looked over to see Queen Alicent yelling at Aegon.
Her eyes moved to the chair, seeing Aemond sitting in it, one of his eyes being stitched up, "Wha—"
The doors to upstairs opened up and Princess Rhaenys and Lord Corlys ran down, "What happened?" Lord Corlys voiced boomed, Jace, Luke, Baela and Rhaena were all cover in blood and bruises.
The doors opened and Princess Rhaenyra walked in with Prince Daemon not far behind. Daemon stood at the door, looking at everyone, they were now surrounded by a lot of lords and ladies and others.
"Jace! Luke! Alaessa!" Rhaenyra ran to her children and crouched down to see the injuries on the faces of Jace and Luke, "Show me, show me," Rhaenyra mumbled to Luke but he keep his hand on his nose, Rhaenyra pulled his hand away from his face as saw his bloody up face, "Who did this?" Rhaenyra turned to the crowd.
"They attacked me!"
"He attacked Baela!"
"He broke Luke's nose!"
The children continued to yell at one another Rhaenyra turned to her daughter, "My sweet girl, are you hurt?" She ask and started to pick at Alaessa, as she turns her head to get a good look making sure that her daughter wasn't hurt.
"Mother! All is fine, I had just awoke to this," She told her mother and she nodded, Prince Daemon stood at the door with a smirk on his face as he watched the drama from afar.
"Silence!" King Viserys yells, making the children go silent, Jace bent down to his mother to tell her what Aemond called him and his brother, "He called us bastards," Jacaerys whispered to his mother, Rhaenyra stood up and awkwardly stood there fiddling with her hands.
"Aemond... I will have the truth of what happened. Now," King Viserys walks over to Aemond, "What else is there to hear? Your son has been maimed. Her son is responsible," Alicent pointed out, "It was a regrettable accident," Rhaenyra speaks up and Alaessa stands at her mother side.
