When we got home that day, Mummy had a guest.

Not just a usual guest.

But this one was dressed well, with a smile on her face.
Her perfume filled the sitting room with a pleasant scent.

I and Kamsi exchanged looks.

"Good afternoon ma,"
We said together.

"Good afternoon. How are you doing?" She asked.

"We're fine ma." We said together, again.

"Are you twins?" She asked.

Even her accent was polished. A perfect mixture of British english and Nigerian english.

"Something like that ma,"
I said on Kamsi's behalf.

"And what are you're names?" She asked again, looking at us intently.

"I'm Kenechukwu Orji."
I told her.

"Kamsiriochi Orji." Kamsi replied.

I noticed she was cold today, and she was looking to the floor in discomfort.

I took Kamsi's hand and we went into our room.

Kamsi sat on the bed, and looked at me in worry.

"What do you think she's doing here?" Kamsi asked.

"Maybe Nnanna impregnated one of her younger sisters,"
I said teasingly.

Kamsi hit me, then broke into a small smile.

Stella rushed into our room and hugged me and Kamsi.

"The woman in the parlor,"
Stella whispered. "She wants to give the both of you a scholarship!"

"Why?" Kamsi thundered.

"Kamsi," I said in a soft, but warning tone, then I turned
to Stella.

"How do you know?" I asked her.

Stella smiled widely.
"I heard her telling Mummy. Apparently, Mummy was her teacher."

Just then, we heard Mummy's voice from the parlour, calling us.

When we got there, she grinned at us.

"My children, this is my old student, Obanijesu."

"Good afternoon ma,"
We greeted her again.

"She wants to give you both a scholarship."

I and Kamsi looked at each other with wide eyes.
