Love in unexpected forms
✨Jadesola Wole✨
Ever since I found out, my hands have been shaking.
Mummy is going to kill me. Harmonie oh my god!
What am I going to tell Rodney? That his 15 year old sister is pregnant?
Jesus Christ. Help me.
"Jade!" I heard Harmonie's voice calling. Next, her head popped into my white themed room.
"We're going to be late! Hurry up."I gave a fake smile and nodded.
Harmonie paused and then looked at me, assessing the smile on my face.
"Jadé, that's a fake smile. What's wrong?" She asked.
"Harmonie, you know I hate Mondays." I sassed.
She smiled a relived smile.
"That's the Jadé I know."My hands shook and I picked my phone from the bed, texting Chukwuka Kennedy.
CK, we need to talk urgently. Please meet me in school immediately you get there.
God, my period was two months late.
I picked up my bag and my blazer from the bed and began walking downstairs.
Harmonie was eating her food and also making a call.
"I'm so nervous for the presentation." She said into her phone." You love being nervous, sunbeam."
She smiled. "Again with that nickname, Kene. Why do you keep calling me that?"
"Oh pfft. As if you don't like it."
This girl continued her lovey dovey call, while I ate my food in silence, thinking if how my life was coming to an end.
My life is ruined and it's all mine and my father's fault.

True to my text, CK met me immediately I got to school.
He offered me a charming smile, but I couldn't manage one. My hands and legs were shaking and fear had gripped me."Jade?" He called, using his hand to keep me stable.
"Are you alright?" He asked."No. No I'm not alright. Please, can we talk?" I asked.
"Let's go to my car." CK said to me, walking beside him, and I, still shaking and scared. I reached for my pocket to check the time.
6:47 am.
Oh thank God. For once, I was actually grateful for Harmonie's early morning meetings.
Once we got to his car and sat in the back seats, I looked at him with tears in my eyes.
"My period is almost three months late, CK. And I might be pregnant." I told him.
CK was silently watching me with worry.
I waited too, but the silence was too loud for me, and it highlighted the beating of my heart.
