Chapter 18 ₊˚⊹ ♡

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW!?" Jungkook, Beomgyu, and I yell at the same time.

"I haven't been confessed to before... so I don't know what to say to them..." Kai answers.

"Who do you like more?"

"I don't know either of them so... none?" Kai wonders.

"This is an absolute crisis."

"Why don't they just date one another and not bring me into it?" Kai asks.

"Boy, you born dumb or what? They BOTH like you!" I mutter.

"So?"

"They can't just get rid of their feelings towards you!" Jungkook sighs.

"Just give them a chance. Maybe spend some time with the both of them," Beomgyu advises but Kai simply stares.

"Nah... I'd rather not. Love is too complicated..." Kai grumbles.

"A FEW MINUTES AGO YOU WERE CRYING ABOUT SEEING OTHER COUPLES AND BEING HURT BECAUSE YOU MIGHT NEVER FIND YOUR SOULMATE. AND NOW YOU'RE SAYING LOVE IS COMPLICATED? Well ngl but it is complicated. EITHER WAY, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" I shout.

"I don't know..." Kai whispers, "I think I need some head space. To think... So I'm just going to head over to the library. See you guys around."

Kai walks off leaving the three of us outstanded.

"What the hell?"

"I'm genuinely concerned for him."

"Let's hope he doesn't do something stupid."

"I'm hungry. Let's go eat something."

"Okay. Why not."

"Oh yeah, about that incident yesterday...sorry about my boyfriend," Jungkook sighs.

"It's fine... I guess Taehyung just didn't know," I shrug.

"Jang-Mi is really nice! I'm so glad to see the kind warm-hearted side of her!" Beomgyu says. I nod.

"Mhm..."

"Also, Felix, why aren't you hanging out with Seungmin, Jisung, Jeongin, and the others?" Jungkook asks.

"Because they were also there at the incident but they chose not to do anything but watch Taehyung and Hyunjin hurt Jang-Mi. I wasn't happy with their choice of actions. It was no different to bullying," I reply.

"Ah, I see..." Jungkook says, "Makes sense, I would've done the same."

"Also! I heard you slapped Taehyung!" I giggle. Jungkook nods furiously.

"Jang-Mi was his cousin! Even if Jang-Mi hurts someone, he doesn't have the right to hurt her unless it was the person Jang-Mi hurt!" Jungkook mutters in anger.

"I made up with Taehyun... thanks to you Felix, but I was also upset with Taehyun for being a bystander..." Beomgyu sighs. I nod.

"Alright... we should head back to our classes," I say, checking the phone, "I've skipped so many classes this term. My grades are going to be absolute shit."

"Oh right! The yearly exams are coming up!" Beomgyu states.

"I forgot about them... I'm going to study. Want to join?" Jungkook asks me and Beomgyu.

"Yeah... why not," I reply as Beomgyu agrees as well. We're walking up to the library when Jisung appears out of nowhere.

"EEP!" I shriek.

"Sorry..." Jisung apologises.

"What do you mean sorry!? I'm too young for a heart attack! Jesus!" I gasp dramatically, placing my hand on my heart.

"Right... uhh..." Jisung stutters. I stare at him with a raised eyebrow.

"FELIX!" a voice yells. I turn around to see Mei and Jang-Mi running towards me.

"Guess whattttt!" Mei giggles.

"What?" I ask.

"Jang-Mi got into the singing competitions!" Mei squeals. Jang-Mi grins.

"That's amazing! Maybe I'll get to hear you one day!" I exclaim. A voice coughs behind us, making me turn around.

"Oh right. Forgot you were here," I mutter. A hurt feeling flashes across Jisung's face but he covers it up.

"Jeongin, Seungmin, and Enhypen want to apologize," Jisung mumbles.

"Okay. That's fine... I think," I shrug. There's silence until Mei speaks up.

"Jungkook, Beomgyu, Felix, do you want to come to a cafe with me and Jang-Mi?" Mei asks.

"I can come--" Jungkook starts but Beomgyu shakes his head.

"Sorry I have guitar classes," Beomgyu sighs, "Dang it! I forgot! Sorry I can't study today, I need to pick up one of my friends!"

Beomgyu runs off, waving us goodbye.

"Oh yeah, Jungkook, I forgot to say, the cafe--" I start turning to Jungkook.

"The cafe?"

"It's owned by Hobi Hyung and Jin Hyung," I say.

"Really!? I haven't seen them in forever. I wanna go there right now!" he exclaims.

"What 'bout studying--"

"We can study there, it's fine! Come oooon!" Jungkook pleads. I sigh in disbelief.

"Fine."

"Uh... Felix?" Jisung squeaks from beside me.

"Yeah?" I say.

"We're really really sorry. Our actions weren't right. We were just so mad at Jang-Mi," Jisung pleads. I sigh.

"It's fine. Just take some time to think about what you did. And also apologize to Jang-Mi. All of you. I'll give you about a week to fix your problems. The same applies to Jeongin, Jisung, and Enhypen," I tell Jisung who nods.

"Alright... see ya," Jisung mumbles, walking off. I feel kind of upset, watching my best friend walk off like that. I've never felt so separated from them in many years. I shake the feeling off and turn back to Jang-Mi.

"Shall we go?"

a/n: some of you might hate me for making Felix become friends with Jang-Mi, but honestly, it wasn't even planned out. I had no idea what to do about Jang-Mi's character at the end of the story. Of course, the story will end well, but I didn't feel like making Jang-Mi a bad guy, so I gave her a terrible past. And to those who forgave Jang-Mi for what she had done to Felix, I'm glad you have some empathy :] - I also believe that you probably dislike me for forgiving Hyunjin after how he treated Felix, but I couldn't help it. They're supposed to end up together. But to make it up (since i'm such a nice person), I made sure Felix doesn't date Hyunjin until Hyunjin proves himself ^^

Narrator: *side eye to the author* Anyway back to the story - Felix grew close to Jang-Mi and Mei, so they hung out a lot. Mostly with Jungkook and Beomgyu as well... Jang-Mi does start developing feelings for Mei, but Mei doesn't realize it (yet). If you're wondering about Huening Kai, he becomes friends with Soobin and Yeonjun, so he wasn't able to hang out with Felix that much as Soobin and Yeonjun kept hogging Kai. Kai didn't mind it tho (;
