-- 20 mins later --
I hold my sore arm in pain. Nurse Choi must've gotten really impatient if she shoved my bone back in place without a warning. I pout. I'm left alone in the infirmary, with the order to rest myself. I eye the door, a small grin playing on my lips. I sneak out of the infirmary and towards the principal office.
"This school is already boring enough... let's add some fun!" I whisper to myself. I casually walk into the principal's office.
"Felix?" the principal asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Good Afternoon, Sir. The volleyball team has asked for your presence. They wanted to speak about something, but can't come to your office as they're still in GYM clothes and students aren't permitted to walk around in sports uniform," I say to the principal. He stares at me skeptically before sighing.
"Alright. I'll head down there. Mind staying in my office till I come back?" the principal asks. I nod, my head down to hide the smirk on my face.
I watch the Principal walk out of the office and down the corridor. Because I can see the volleyball courts from the office window, I make sure I can see the principal talking to the team. I creep over to the school speakers.
I have one life... might as well have some fun!
I switch on the speakers.
"Good Morning, Girls and Boys, I would like to convey an important message to all of you! School is currently having a break. Students are allowed to rogue since it's near to yearly exams, take a gap from your academics! Too much studying can cause problematic stress and pressure. So for one day, let it all go! Ruin the school if you have to, but just have fun. No one is stopping you!" I shout over the speakers. Barely a nano-second later, I hear a deafening roar from the school. From the window, I can see students running out of the classes. Papers are flying everywhere and bags are tossed like balls. The school is in utter chaos. I step out of the office only to be met with students crashing the lockers and textbooks all over the floor. I walk through the pandemonium, a wide grin spread across my face. There are waves of laughter and cheering from students. Their stressed-out faces are replaced with heartfelt joy. A bunch of students stream into the principal's office playing music all over the speakers. Music booms through the school and as everyone cries as if it's freedom. I chuckle to myself, knowing how screwed I was.
Doesn't matter, does it? I'm still the same kid from years ago... and I should just love my life.
I sigh in satisfaction. I look around, smiling at the catastrophe I had created. I slip away from the building and away from the school. I stride towards the park, my hands in my pocket, as I whistle the tune from the song that's playing at the school. The music was so loud, I could hear it from kilometers away. I can hear the students scream the lyrics to 'Cake by The Ocean' and 'High Hopes'. I giggle lightly.
I sit on the playground swing, my feet swaying in the wind.
"Felix! Felix!" a voice shouts. I groan. Not one quiet moment?
"Yeah?" I reply.
"Dude! The whole school has blown up! Everyone is having the time of their lives! Why are you alone here?" Beomgyu exclaims. I shrug my shoulders.
"Just wanted some space I guess..." I whisper.
"I wonder who snuck into the principal's office and decided it would be a really good idea to start a pandemonium! Whoever they are, they're a legend!" Beomgyu giggles, "You're not coming?"
"Nah. You go ahead, I'll be good," I say, knowing that the principal probably won't tell the school that I was the one who said the message. But I'll be in deep trouble but no one will know... it'll be a mystery for the school to solve for decades.
"Alright... See ya!" Beomgyu says, running back to the school.
There is a soft breeze tickling my skin as the Autumn leaves gently float down from the trees.
The further I walk away from the school, the music slowly dies down. I take out my phone and plug in my earphones. I play - I Ain't Worried - by OneRepublic.
I don't know what you've been told
But time is running out, no need to take it slow
I'm stepping to you toe-to-toe
I should be scared, honey, maybe so
But I ain't worried 'bout it right now
Keeping dreams alive, 1999, heroes
I ain't worried 'bout it right now
Swimmin' in the floods, dancing on the clouds below
I ain't worried 'bout it!
I whistle along to the song while walking for a while until I feel my feet ache. I yelp when two hands cover my eyes.
"Yah!"
"Guess who?" the deep voice says. I gently feel the fingers on my eyes, when my hand brushes his ring.
"Hyunjin?"
"Yep!" he chuckles, back hugging me.
"Why weren't you at school?" I ask.
"Just wanted to fix myself I guess..."
"Oh... okay! What were you doing outside?"
"I was actually heading to school after Minho texted me saying that someone put the school into a catastrophe," Hyunjin says, "What were you doing out of school?"
"Oh well... I just needed some space from all that chaos going on in there," I lie. Hyunjin nods.
"Well... if you're not heading back to school... then could I take you on a date?" Hyunjin offers. My eyes widen, as I process what Hyunjin just asked.
