Chapter 17 ₊˚⊹ ♡

I barge into the library and walk straight to the manga section. I pick up Attack On Titan and stride towards the beanbags. But I'm stopped by someone. Or some people.

"Felix?" Chan mumbles. I whip around to see the whole basketball team studying together.

"Yes?" I grumble.

Let's hope they don't start an issue like they always do.

"Hey... so about yesterday--"

"Nope!"

"What?"

"I said nope!"

"But we just want to--"

"Apologise? Save it because I don't want to hear it," I reply.

"But we're--"

"Chan cut me some slack. Ya'll have already been problematic enough. If I go on one more day of seeing your faces or hearing your voices, it's going to be really triggering," I say, shutting him up. I absolutely won't and cannot deal with another problem. I'm just going to run away from this one.

"I need to go, so I hope I don't see you again," I mutter. I walk out of the library to be met with Kai squinting at me.

"Woah! Hyuka! Don't jump-scare me like that!" I groan.

"Oh hey, Lix... I heard about yesterday's incident from Beomgyu who heard from Jungkook who heard from Taehyung who was there," Kai says, "I'm sorry, that was messed up of them."

"Don't be sorry. It's their problem anyway," I reply, shrugging.

"Are you going to sit with them?"

"No, probably not. It's been a long week. I might just focus on myself and help out Jang-Mi," I say to Kai. He nods in approval.

"I think you definitely need that!" he answers, "Apparently, Jungkook is so pissed at Taehyung that Jungkook slapped Taehyung in front of the whole school. Taehyung keeps trying to get Jungkook to talk to him but Jungkook ignores him so Taehyung looks like a sad puppy wanting attention! And Beomgyu and Taehyun made up but Beomgyu is mad at Taehyun for being a bystander. Jungkook and Beomgyu spoke to Jang-Mi this morning and they both decided to help Jang-Mi with singing since she has exceptional skills!"

"Wow! Maybe you, Jungkook, and Beomgyu can help Jang-Mi!" I exclaim. Kai nods.

"Also, Jang-Mi's friend, Mei... she's kinda cute," Kai mumbles. I look at him surprised.

"DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON HER--"

"DON'T YELL THAT! And no I don't, I just think she's adorable... but when I was talking to Mei, Jang-Mi seemed kinda clingy towards Mei and she kept on glaring at me..." Kai sighs.

"Yeah... I have a vague feeling Jang-Mi has feelings for Mei," I sigh, ruffling his hair.

"That's cute..." Kai mumbles, tears filling his eyes.

"Hyuka! It's alright! Mei isn't the only girl out there!" I gasp.

"It's not Mei..." Kai cries. I stare at him in confusion.

"I feel like no one ever likes me... I just want to have a boyfriend and be happy. I'm surrounded by people who walk with their lovers and it hurts... because I don't know if I'd ever find my soulmate. I believe in true love so much that people think I'm crazy..."

Argh! Goddammit! I promised not to involve myself in any problems today! Okay... this one should be okay... I'm only doing it for Kai...

"It's okay Hyuka... Someone will like you at some point," I smile softly, "Let's go to the cafeteria."

I take Kai down to the lunch hall but walking in, there's a huge commotion.

"I'M NOT TELLING YOU MY CRUSH!" a voice roars. Me and Kai look at each other, immediately recognising the voice. Yeonjun. We run to the crowd and push through to the front.

"IF YOU LIKE ME WHO ELSE DO YOU LIKE?" Soobin replies, "I CAN'T DATE SOMEONE WHO LIKES ME AND SOMEONE ELSE!"

"Why are being so pushy? It's not even your business who I like!" Yeonjun argues.

"But if you want to be in a relationship, I need to know who else you like!" Soobin shouts. Yeonjun is about to snap at Soobin when he notices Kai in the crowd, immediately stopping as a light shade of pink tints his cheeks. Kai, however, doesn't notice as he tries to process what's going on. I gape in shock.

Yeonjun likes Kai!

"Who do you like!?" Soobin repeats furiously. Yeonjun stomps over to us and grabs Kai's shoulder.

"Him."

The whole cafeteria goes silent and all eyes are on Kai.

"What...?" Kai whispers in shock. Yeonjun suddenly pushes Kai away immediately realising what he has done. He looks from Kai to Soobin before covering his mouth.

"Shit..." Yeonjun mutters. Soobin stares at Kai in surprise

"I'm sorry--" Yeonjun starts.

"Uh..." Kai whispers.

This is a crisis.

"You like Kai..." Soobin says.

"I like Kai too..." Soobin mumbles. Yeonjun turns to Soobin in surprise.

"Well... this is definitely tiresome..." I sigh.

"So even you like Kai!?" Yeonjun gasps.

"Dang. Both Soobin and Yeonjun like Hyuka, but they also like each other. So maybe you guys can be poly..." I say.

"Who likes who? And poly-what?" Kai mumbles in confusion.

"Uhm sooo... Yeonjun and Soobin both like you but they also like each other... so you guys can date each other as a three which is called polyamory," I explain but Kai's confused face shows he doesn't understand a word.

"Hyuka sweetheart... You're too stupid for this crap. You know what, leave it to Soobin and Yeonjun. You'll realize sooner or later," I declare, pulling a puzzled Kai away from the crowd.

"I don't get it--"

"You don't need to."

"Oh... okay!" Kai says.

I turn to him knowing Kai will realise in a few moments. I stare at him and as expected, the gears in his head finally move.

"WHAT THE HECK--"

"Yup! He got it!" I smile to myself.

"THEY BOTH LIKE ME?? BUT THEY ALSO LIKE EACH OTHER?" Kai gasps.

"Yuh."

"I don't understand!"

"What don't you understand? That two males have a crush on you but they like each other as well?" I grumble. Kai simply nods. I face-palm myself.

"Gosh, Kai! I don't know how they ended up liking you!" I groan.

"Neither do I!" Kai mumbles.

"I figured you wouldn't know..." I sigh.

"Felix! Hyuka!" a voice calls us. We turn to see Beomgyu and Jungkook panting heavily.

"You guys okay--"

"WE HEARD!" Jungkook huffs.

"What?"

"WE- WE-- HEARD!" Beomgyu grunts.

"Heard what?"

"SOOBIN AND YEONJUN. THEY BOTH LIKE KAI AND EACH OTHER!" Jungkook gasps for air.

"Oh, that..." Kai whispers.

"What are you going to do?" Beomgyu asks.

"About that... I don't know..." Kai whispers.
