Hi guys! This is not an update, unfortunately 🤭 but I just wanted to share something inspirational today.
So what happened is that, today I talked with an old lady.
Like, there's a path in my university campus from where you can go to the bus stand where the bus usually stops. If you want a seat then you have to go there early or else the bus gets full and you won't get to a seat. So, since I was already late to reach the bus stand on time as I had some work, I decided to just wait at the entrance of the path near a tree to take a shade from the sun (it's too hot in my city in summers). So, the old lady that I talked to today always sits under that tree on a concrete bench like thingy, with some chips, biscuits and all to sell.
As I sometimes buy candies from her, I quite know her and I greeted her with a 'how are you?', today. She then said that she's fine and complimented me about the earings that I was wearing today. She then asked where did I buy it from? And I answered that (I bought it from the University's market though 🤭). She was then like 'oh! Please buy me one too, I will give you the money', but as we have three days holiday, I told her that I will buy it for her and she can give me the money later on and she agreed.
She then told me to wait under the tree's shade as it was really hot today, and the bus was about to arrive soon anyways, as it was almost time for it to leave the bus stand and pick up the students to take them home. So, I just decided to sit near her as I was exhausted after all the walking from my department to that place. She then started asking me if I ate lunch or not, and it just gave a warm vibes from her.
As we were chatting, I felt really hot, so I took out my portable fan from the bag (portable fans are life saviours in hot days I swear). I noticed her looking at my fan curiously and then, she asked where did I buy that kind of fan from. I replied that I bought it from the same place where I bought my earings from.
After that, she said that it's nice to have a fan like that during hot days, and then proceeds to tell me that she doesn't even have a fan that works properly in her house. They are so poor that they don't even have enough money to buy a new fan. I felt really bad for her and it made me realise that how fortunate we are than some people out there.
It really touched my heart and I am thinking of gifting her the earings. I want to help but I can't buy her a fan as I don't earn, but at least I can give her the earrings as a gift to make her happy. It inspired me to do something for the people in need. I know that I can't help all the people in this world but atleast I want to help those whom I can.
So guys, if you ever feel worthless remember that some are dying to live a life like yours. No doubt, that we all might have our own problems but always remember that there are people out there who are maybe suffering more than you but still, they are not loosing hope. We all are fighting our own battles to survive in this world. So always be kind and considerate to everyone because we don't know who is going through what. Do talk to people sometimes and you will get to know many things which might inspire you someday.
I really want to help her so I am thinking of asking my father if we can buy her a fan. I hope my father will agree to it or else I will have to find some other ways to help her🥺
