As Sunoo went to the kitchen to make porridge for Jungwon, one of the maid offered to help him but, he refused. Jake also followed him suit, curious to know what his best friend was trying to do in there.'What are you doing Sunoo?' Jake asked.
Sunoo without looking at his best friend replied, 'I am going to make porridge for Jungwon to eat. So that he can take his medicines once he wakes up'.
Jake looked at Sunoo and shook his head in dismay. How can Sunoo still be so caring towards that boy? That brat has always treated him so badly and has hurt him ever since they were in middle school. If it would have been him in Sunoo's place then he would have left the boy to rot in that playground, let alone making a porridge for him.
Sunoo is really an angel for caring about that little devil. He doesn't deserve this pure soul.
'You know there are maids to do that for him right?' Jake asked again.
'I know, but I just wanted to do something for him. Also, all of this happened because of me, so at least I can do this much for him'. Sunoo said.
Jake got angry at Sunoo's reply. It was not his fault at all, but his best friend would always take the blame on himself.
'Sunoo, it wasn't your fault at all okay? Don't blame yourself for that brat's behaviour. He got what he deserved and that's it!' Jake argued.
'I know you don't want me to take the blame on myself but, it's the truth hyung. This all happened because of me only'. Sunoo argued back.
Jake rolled his eyes in annoyance, there is no point in making him understand. So, he decided to just let him be and leave.
'Do whatever you want, just don't hurt yourself. Also, promise me that you're coming home right away after you finish making the porridge okay? Because if that brat gets to know that you're in his house then I don't know how he will react'. Jake said, worrying about his friend.
'Yes, I promise. You should go to my house and sleep, it's already late and we also have classes in the morning'. Sunoo told Jake, reassuring his friend that he will go home right after he finish making the porridge.
Jake nodded at his friend and left. Sunoo continued to make the porridge for Jungwon as he preferred when they were kids, hoping that he still liked it that way only.
After sometime, Sunoo finished making the porridge. The maid was about to take it for Jungwon but, Sunoo stopped her. It might be a bad idea but, he wanted to go and check on Jungwon once before he leave.
So, he decided to be brave and took the risk of taking the porridge to Jungwon's room, hoping that he is still asleep.
Once he reached near Jungwon's room, he opened the door slightly to see if he was asleep or not. When he saw that Jungwon was still sleeping he entered the room and slowly shut the door.
He then went near his bed table and put the porridge there, without making a noise. After putting it silently, he turned to look at Jungwon's face. Oh, how sweet and innocent he looked while sleeping. How can someone look so perfect even while sleeping? Eyebrows perfectly aligned, eyelashes so curled, slim nose and those full lips that never fails to hurt him with the harsh words coming out of it.
He signed, only if they could go back to as they were before. Even if Jungwon might not have reciprocated the same feelings as him, having him by his side as his best friend forever was also enough for him. But seems like God doesn't wants that to happen. Why is God punishing him like this? What did he even do for him to suffer like this? Sunoo always wonder.
