After sorting everything out, the two best friends returned to the cafeteria where the rest of the group was waiting.
The moment they arrived, all eyes turned to them-especially to Jake, who suddenly found himself the center of attention.
"Why is everyone looking at me like I just committed a crime or something?" Jake asked, shifting uncomfortably under the weight of their stares.
"Well... almost," Jay remarked with a teasing tone.
"Jay," Heeseung warned, giving his boyfriend a pointed look. Then, turning to Jake, he added more gently, "Why don't you both sit down and eat something first? Lunch break's going to be over soon."
Jake and Sunoo nodded and headed toward their seats.
But just as Sunoo was about to sit down-right next to where Jungwon was now seated-Jake cleared his throat loudly.
"Ahem! Sunoo?" He warned.
Sunoo immediately picked up on the cue. Then, without a word, he grabbed his plate and quietly moved over to sit beside Jake instead.
After they all sat down, silence took over the table as everyone quietly ate their food. But one person couldn’t handle the tension any longer and decided to break it.
“So… what did you guys talk about?” Niki asked, looking at Jake.
Everyone turned to look at him like he’d just said something wrong.
“Niki…” Heeseung warned, his tone clearly saying *drop it.*
“What? I just wanna know what they talked about, okay?” Niki defended himself with a shrug.
“I mean… I kinda want to know too,” Jay chimed in. “So, Jake—what have you decided? Are you okay with Sunoo and Jungwon being friends again?”
Jake set his chopsticks down with a sigh and said, “Since everyone’s so curious, I’ll answer.”
He then glanced around the table before continuing. “I’m fine with them being friends again, as long as Sunoo is okay with it.”
“For real, hyung?! That’s awesome! Now we can finally all hang out together again! Woohoo!” Niki cheered, throwing his hands in the air.
“But…” Jake said sharply, instantly cutting off Niki’s celebration.
Then he turned to Jungwon, voice low and serious. “If you *ever* hurt Sunoo again—even once—I swear, I’ll bury you with my own two hands. Got it?”
“Babe, calm down,” Sunghoon said gently, placing a hand on Jake’s arm.
“No, it’s alright, Sunghoon hyung,” Jungwon replied, visibly nervous but sincere. “I understand Jake hyung’s concern. And… I promise, I won’t hurt him again.”
"You better not,” Jake said, still watching him closely.
Time skip~
Just like usual, Sunoo was getting ready to sneak out of the house to meet Jungwon at their usual spot. But just as he reached for the door, his phone buzzed, stopping him in his tracks.
