In one wintery night of February a cute little baby named Jungwon was born. Baby Sunoo now got a friend to play and grow up with.
Both of their fates were connected to each other. Their bond was almost unbreakable, one can say that they fit together like the puzzle pieces. They complete each other.
But all of this changed after that one unfortunate incident. Jungwon lost his mother when he was just 8 years old and he couldn't help but blame Sunoo for his mother's death when he came to know the truth. He was 12 years old when he accidentally heard the conversation between his father and grandmother about his mother's death.
After knowing the truth, all the love that he had for his best friend turned into hatred. He swore to God that he will never forgive Sunoo.
The present time ~
Tringg... Tringg.....
The alarm clock rang sharp at 6:00 am. Sunoo groaned and searched for his alarm clock with his eyes still closed. With a little bit of struggle he finally got hold of his alarm clock and made it stop.
Slowly opening his eyes he was hit by the morning sun rays right on his face that was slipping through the gaps between his curtains.
He finally got up from his bed with a smile on his face, it was a bright day to begin with after all.
After getting ready for the school he went downstairs for breakfast. He saw that his father was already sitting on the dining table with a coffee cup and a newspaper in his hands.
He greeted his father and his nanny who was now busy preparing his breakfast plate, with a bright smile. His smile was contagious and can literally light up anybody's mood. He was really a sunshine.
'Good morning dad! Good morning Mrs. Jeon! How did you sleep last night?'
Mr. Kim looked at his son who was now seated on his seat and smiled sweetly at him.
'I slept very well my dear, how about you? Did you sleep well? ' Mr. Kim asked.
'Yes dad, I slept very well too.' Sunoo replied enthusiastically.
His nanny Mrs. Jeon then gave him his food and greeted him with a good morning too.
'Thank you so much for the food, I will eat well.' He thanked her and started eating his food.
Mrs. Jeon looked at him with a proud smile because of how well Sunoo was raised under her and his father's care. The thing is Sunoo's mother died right after she gave birth to him due to some complications. Mr. Kim promised to his wife that, he will never let Sunoo feel the absence of a mother, he gave him the love of both a mother and father. He didn't even tried to marry a second time just to give all his time and attention to Sunoo only and he never regretted it. After his wife died his son was his only reason for living.
Mrs. Jeon also raised him like her own child and always tried to be there whenever he needed. She tried her best to not let him feel lonely because most of the time Mr. Kim has to be away from home because of the business.
They were peacefully eating breakfast when suddenly Mr. Kim's nose started to bleed. Sunoo looked at his father and panicked, he grabbed a tissue from the tissue paper holder and gave it to his father. Mrs. Jeon also came running from the kitchen upon hearing the noises.
'Oh my God! Dad are you okay? Why is your nose bleeding so suddenly? Let's go to the doctor.' Sunoo said, worry evident in his tone.
'Oh dear! What happened? Is somebody hurt?' Mrs. Jeon asked, panicky.
Mr. Kim let out a little laugh and said, 'Stop exaggerating you two, nobody is hurt. I am fine, it might be because of the weather.'
Sunoo was still not convinced and looked at his father with worry still evident on his face.
'Still father, please take care of your health. You know you're the only one that I have and I don't want anything to happen to you.' Sunoo said, on the verge of crying.
Mr. Kim looked at his son and pulled him in for a hug to reassure him that he was fine.
'Dad is fine my son, don't worry and now prepare to go for the school okay? You have to study hard and then take over the business one day because your father is getting old you see.'
Mrs. Jeon couldn't help but let out some tears. After sometime they broke from the hug and Sunoo was ready to go to school. He once more hugged his father, bid them good bye and went to his school.
On the way to his school he was still worrying about his father and hoped that it was nothing serious. He already lost his mother and one of his favourite person at a very young age and couldn't afford to loose any of the other people that are dear to him.
And yes it includes Jungwon too. Even if the younger hates him, he will never hate him because he still loves him and not to mention he loves him even more than a friend. It hasn't been that long though that he started seeing the younger as more than his childhood best friend. He know it's hopeless to think to receive any kind of similar feelings from the boy but still he wants to try.
He wants to try to make some space for him in the younger's heart again, even if only as a friend and for that he was ready to endure any kind of hurtful things that will come on his way from the younger's side.
