Yule Ball

FLASHBACK

"You will attend the ball with Astoria Greengrass" Lucius said coldly ,not even looking at his son whilst Draco glared at him.

"I will not! You can't choose whoever I go with!"

Lucius stared at the son intimidatingly ,which made Draco gulp lightly.

"Do you want to be the Heir of the Malfoys or what?!"

"Yes father..but father-!"

"What?!" Lucius turned to his son again ,his voice visibly angered and louder and that made Draco flinch.

"Nothing " He answered quietly and speed walked out of the room, his brain burning with thoughts.

I will not obey father. Not this time ,he'll see.

PRESENT

I knew I had to obey Draco's commands no matter what ,since it was our bet ,but I wasn't looking forward to it AT ALL-

I noticed that I forgot my potions book and ran in the direction I came from.
"I'll be right back! I need to get my potions book!" I waved at the others and kept going ,while they nodded and left.

Suddenly when I reached the end of the hallway, someone pulled my arm and my back landed on the wall softly.

"Evans"

"Malfoy?!" I whispered aggresively ,confused and annoyed.

I just wanna attend class T-T

"For the Yule Ball. Attend at early and wear a green silk dress"

"Huh?! I wear what I want"

"So what?! You're gonna wear a red dress?!"

"Exactly!"

He then stopped and thought for a while.

"Yes that's a good idea. You wear the reddest dress to represent your filthy gryffindor house the best."

"Okay..?" I was still confused but let it go ,since I was able to wear whatever I want.

What a weird hoe-

I scoffed and walked to get my book.

When I arrived in class ,everyone started staring at me and I gulped lightly.

I know I'm drop dead GORGEOUS but what da hell-

I sat beside Moine and someone suddenly tapped my shoulder from behind me.

It was a girl from my class ,blonde hair, pigtails.

"Is it true that you're dating Malfoy?" She whispered ,pointing at him with her eyes and I looked at her clearly confused.

She sighed and showed me the newspaper cutout she took with her.
It was a picture of me and Malfoy in Slughorn's party again ,but with the headline:
DATING RUMORS BETWEEN DRACO MALFOY AND MYSTERIOUS GIRL CONFIRMED
she is attending the Yule Ball with him.

Wow what the hell- how fast do rumors fly-

I just looked at Malfoy ,who had his green slytherin wool sweater on ,resting his head on his hand.
He looked pretty unbothered or rather..clueless.

Still despise that bloody guy tho.

I decided to have a talk with him after lessons.

"Psst! Malfoy!" I whispered hiding in the corner of a hallway,but he only noticed shortly after.

"Evans?"

"Come here! We need to talk"

He came to me and I pulled him in the hallway ,leading us to lose our balance and Malfoy put an arm around my waist.

My hands found his chest and when I noticed our position,I gently pushed myself free.

"I-uh. Dating rumors"

"What?"

"The dating rumors are ConFiRMed Malfoy! They think I'm dating you!" I panicked and he furrowed his brows.

Malfoy paused for a while and just stared at me.
"They think..I'm dating a filthy mudblood?"

I mean, yeah ouch.

"On top of that ,one from Gryffindor?!"

"Watch your tone snake!I don't want this either" I snapped due to panick and being insulted.

"You seemed uncomfortable" He huffed and I widened my eyes surprised as he looked away to think.

Was he being considerate?!

"What do we do?!" I stared at him and he shrugged.

"Leave it that way. We're going to the Yule Ball together anyway."

"Fine ,but we 'break up' after the Yule Ball"

"Correction, I break up with YOU"

"Fine!" I said going away.

"You're willing to lower your self-esteem?" He asked chuckling devilishly and I rolled my eyes.

"Anything to just break ties with you Malfoy" I smiled sarcastically and left.
