Chapter 1

Anchal's POV:

As the soft morning light gently filtered into my room, I found myself gradually emerging from my dreams. The familiar melody of Harry Styles' "Treat People With Kindness" filled the air, coaxing me into consciousness at exactly 6 am. With a sleepy smile, I silence the delightful tune and swing my legs over the side of the bed, my toes meeting the cool floor. First things first, I precisely make my bed, a simple task that never fails to grant me a sense of accomplishment right from the start. After a quick visit to the bathroom, I go through the motions that seem almost automatic. Peeing, washing my face, and brushing my teeth, these actions help me feel more awake and fresh.

Putting on my workout gear I tie my sneakers and headed out the door by 6:20. The morning air is cool and makes me shiver a bit.

As I walk, I see the world waking up – birds are chirping, and the sun is starting to rise, making everything look pretty. Walking makes me feel more energetic and ready for the workout ahead. At 6:30, I arrive at the gym or the park, depending on the day. I usually go on a run 3 times a week and take a boxing class 2 times a week. Today I'm going on a run for 45 min. It's still quiet there, and I'm ready to begin. I put on my earphones and start with a warm-up to get my body ready. The sound of my steps on the ground helps me get into a good rhythm.

Slowing down to a gentle jog, my breathing matched the calmness of the park around me. My muscles felt a good kind of tired, reminding me of the effort I put into my morning run. I then walked towards the gazebo where I found my monkeys aka my best friends Jay, Dhruv, and Kriti.

"Aaaaanch Goood Moooorning" Kriti said when she saw me walking towards them. "Ohhh aaj Anch se pehele hum aagaye idhar" said Dhruv in a teasing tone. " Ha Ha thik hai bhai aaj tu jaldi aya. But mai late nai hu. Mai correct time pe hu, tum log jaldi aagaye." I said laughing. Dhruv was about to say something when Jay cut him off by saying " Bas ab subha subha phir se apne fights start mat karo". "Chalo ab start kare" Kri said.

("Ohh we are here before Anch today")

(Yea yea okay, you guys are here before me but that doesn't mean I'm late you guys are early today)

Time felt like it was playing games as we moved from one stretch to another, chatting about all sorts of things. We felt really good in each other's company. The stretches made our bodies relax, and the yoga brought a peaceful feeling to our hearts.

Once we were done with the stretches we began to disperse. By 7:45 I reached home. I quickly made myself a nice a yummy smoothie with lots of fruits. Then I headed for the shower. The warm water washed off all the tiredness from the morning's activities. Wrapped up in a soft robe, I looked at myself in the mirror, happy to see the glow on my cheeks and the brightness in my eyes. I then did my morning skincare routine, which is not that extensive. It is just a four-step routine of toner, serum, moisturiser and sunscreen. Then I applied a little bit of makeup just some concealer (So that you don't look like a panda mocked my inner conscience), mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. Hmm Ab nai dikhti hu na panda jaise? I thought to myself. Then I did my hair in a simple slicked back ponytail and got dressed for the day.
