Anchal's POV:

I stood at the back, watching everyone surround my sister. I couldn't help but feel a pang in my chest. It felt like I was losing my sister to the wedding. We were very close growing up, always talking about anything and everything. But recently, she's been so busy with the hospital and her wedding preparations, and any time left, she spends with Yash Jiju. I remember the days she would come into my room asking for fashion advice. I was the one who selected her outfit for her first date with Jiju, and now here she is, selecting her wedding outfit.

I was getting emotional when I saw Vihaan approaching me from the corner of my eye. He asked me why I wasn't helping Di. I asked him the same question about Jiju. Just then our mothers asked us to find our outfits.

Vihaan and I looked at each other and smiled. "Do you want to shop around together?" I asked.

He immediately agreed, "Of course."

As we walked through the aisles, I tried to shake off my sadness. "You know," Vihaan started, "you have a great taste in clothes. Maybe you can help me pick something."

I chuckled, "Acha ji? Let's see what we can find then."

We began browsing the racks, and I felt a sense of comfort being around him. It was like he understood my unspoken feelings, and I found solace in our shared experiences. Shopping with him wasn't just about finding an outfit; it was about connecting with someone who understood the bittersweetness of change.

We found our outfits, and it turned out to be a really fun day. I got to know a completely different side of Vihaan—a goofy side that brought out my fun side, the personality I usually reserve for close friends and family. Just as we finished selecting clothes, I heard Aadhya Di call my name.

"Anchal!" she called out.

I went to her, and she showed me two choices, asking, "Which one should I choose?"

I almost burst into tears. I couldn't believe she was asking my opinion on her wedding dress. I had assumed that now she was getting married, she wouldn't need me anymore. She just proved me wrong. When I didn't respond, she called out my name again, "Anchal, bata na."

Knowing Di's taste, I selected the right one. She had a huge grin on her face.

"Why are you smiling like that?" I asked, curious.

She laughed, "Mujhe yeh lehenga kharidna tha, but mumma wanted me to buy the other one. I knew you would choose my favorite one."

I laughed and helped her select all her outfits. Once we finished shopping, we loaded all the clothes into our cars, only the ones that didn't need any alterations.

As we were loading the last of the bags, Vihaan came over and said, "Seems like you had a busy day."

"Yeah, but it was fun. Thanks for making it enjoyable," I replied, smiling at him.

He grinned back, "Anytime. I'm glad I got to see this side of you."

I blushed slightly. "Well, don't get used to it."

He laughed, "Too late. I like this version of you."

I couldn't help but smile at his words. Today had turned out to be unexpectedly wonderful.

After getting back into the car with Jay, Tanish, Dhruv, and Kriti, we were all still buzzing from the day's activities. Jay broke the silence, "I asked mumma if we can spend the rest of the day outside, and she said it's fine. So, what are we doing next?"

Before anyone could respond, Dhruv piped up with enthusiasm, "Shopping!"

The rest of us groaned in unison. Kriti threw her head back and complained, "Pura din toh shopping kiya hai! Aur kya karna hai?"

Tanish and I exchanged a look and said in unison, "Coffee!"

Another round of groans filled the car, and Dhruv rolled his eyes, "Kya coffee coffee karte rehte ho tum log? Kitna coffee piyoge?"

I felt a little offended by his tone. "Toh? You say kya karna hai?"

Before Dhruv could respond, Jay grinned mischievously, "I know the best thing. Let's go to that karaoke bar—what was it called?"

I immediately knew what he was talking about. "The Mic Drop?"

"Yep, that's the one!" Jay confirmed.

Everyone seemed to perk up at the idea, nodding in agreement. "Okay, if we go to the bar, I am not being the designated driver!" I declared. "Also, we need to pick up Aadhya Di on the way."

No one volunteered to take up the responsibility of driving later, so Tanish suggested, "Why don't we go home, get ready, and then just take a cab to the bar?"

That sounded like a perfect plan. We all nodded, and I started the car to drive home. Jay was already dialling Aadhya Di to let her know to get ready. After dropping Dhruv and Kriti off at their place, I pulled into our garage. "Guys, it's 6 p.m. now," I said, glancing at the dashboard clock. "I suggest we all get ready and meet in the living room by 8, so we can reach the bar by 9. We can have dinner udhar hi.". Everyone gets out of the car and into the house to freshen up and get ready for an amazing night out.
