Anchal's POV:

As we weaved our way through the bustling streets of the city, my heart raced with excitement and nervousness. Beside me sat my Aadhya Di, her face adorned with a mix of joy and anxiety. We were accompanied by our cousins, Jay and Tanish, who added to the lively chatter, but Aadhya Di's unease was palpable.

"What if things change after the engagement or marriage, Anchal?" Aadhya Di mused, her voice trembling with doubt.

I looked at her, understanding her fears all too well. "Of course, things will change, Di, Men are stupid..." Before I could continue Aadhya Di cut me off mid-sentence, her eyes narrowing. "Yash is not like that, Anchal. Our love is strong."

I smiled inwardly, realizing that Aadhya Di had said exactly what I had hoped for. She had reassured herself, and I couldn't be prouder of her strength and the depth of her feelings for Yash.

As we continued down the bustling streets, Aadhya Di's nervousness seemed to dissipate gradually. Her appreciation for my support was unspoken, but the warmth in her eyes told me everything I needed to know. Today was about celebrating her love, and I was determined to be there for her every step of the way, just as she had been for me throughout our lives.

I parked my car in the bustling parking lot, my heart racing with anticipation. Today was a momentous occasion – the day my family and the Agarwals would come together to celebrate my engagement. As I stepped out of the car, the sun's warm rays greeted me, and I smoothed the creases of my saree. My family and I were greeted by the Agarwal elders, and I humbly touched their feet to seek their blessings, feeling their hands resting gently on my head.

As I rose from the respectful gesture, I sensed an intense gaze on me. My curiosity got the better of me, and I turned to follow the source of that compelling stare. And there, standing amidst the gathered crowd, was a man who could only be described as breathtaking. With his chiseled features, raven-black hair, and a presence that radiated confidence, he seemed like a character plucked from the pages of Greek mythology. Our eyes met briefly, a connection sparking between us that was both unexpected and undeniable. A hint of a smile tugged at the corners of his lips before we both swiftly averted our gazes, the unspoken understanding hanging heavy in the air.

The moment was fleeting, but it left me with a sense of intrigue and curiosity. Who was this captivating stranger, and what role would he play in this auspicious day? With a heart still racing from our unexpected encounter, our families gathered, and we made our way into the enchanting venue, where love and celebration awaited us.

I was welcoming our guests into the beautifully adorned venue, when one of the nosey aunties approached me, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Anchal beta, when are you going to get married?" she inquired, her tone laced with the typical auntie's concern.

I chuckled and decided to have some fun and said "Aunty, it's not possible in the near future," I replied calmly. "You see, I'm dating a wonderful girl, and, well, it's not legal here in India."

The aunty's eyes widened in shock, and her jaw dropped as if I'd just told her the most unexpected secret. It was a priceless moment, and I couldn't help but stifle a giggle.

With a stammer, she tried to recover her composure. "Oh, well, I didn't mean to pry. I was just asking, you know..." To ease her discomfort, I reached for my phone and showed her a picture of Taylor Swift, who I had a harmless celebrity crush on. Aunty's horror deepened, and she stammered out some excuses before hastily retreating, leaving me to chuckle at the comical turn of events.

As I perched myself at the bar, I ordered a whiskey neat, savoring the warmth it brought as I watched the crowd swirl around me. Moments later, Aadhya Di and Yash Jiju approached with curious expressions, and Aadhya Di couldn't contain her laughter as she said, "Anchal, why is an aunty telling us that you're dating a girl?"

I chuckled, taking a sip of my drink before I explained, "Oh, that was just a funny encounter, Di. She asked me when I was getting married, and I mentioned I'm dating a girl, but it's not legal here."

Their eyes widened in surprise, and then they both burst into laughter, the tension from earlier dissipating. It was a relief to see their support and understanding.

Jiju called out a name. Within moments, the handsome stranger I had locked eyes with in the parking lot appeared, and I couldn't help but feel a jolt of recognition. Jiju introduced him with a grin, "Anchal, meet Vihaan, my brother."

A/N, I wrote the conversation in the last chapter... The talk is the same... I didn't feel like writing it again.

My heart was racing as I greeted him, and I couldn't help but smile. When my hand touched his, I felt a surge of energy. "Yaar iska haath itna acha hai toh iske baki ke body parts kitne ache honge," my subconscious said. ("His hand is so good, I wonder how good his other body parts are??"). "Chee yaar iske samne toh itna ganda mat sooch" I chided my brain. ("Eww don't think of such dirty thoughts in front of him.").

His mother called him so he left.

I was talking with some business associates when someone hugged me from behind; in response, I elbowed them in the rib. "Gadhi kya kar rahi hai?" asked a familiar voice. ("What are you doing, donkey?")

"Dhruv kitni baar bola hai, don't try to surprise her; she'll definitely assault you," Kirti teased. ("How many times do I have to tell you,")

"Hi monkey, Hi cookie," I greeted my best friends.

Just then Jay came to us and greeted them. "Did you guys meet Di and Jiju?" he asked.

"No, we were just about to head over," Kriti said.

A/n I wrote the conversation in the last chapter... The talk is the same... I didn't feel like writing it again.

Soon it was time to exchange the rings.

I couldn't contain my excitement as I watched Aadhya di and Yash Jij, exchange rings on the stage at the engagement ceremony. The room was filled with joy and anticipation, and my heart swelled with happiness for my sister.

As the rings were slipped onto each other's fingers, my eyes welled up with tears of joy. I couldn't help but think about all the wonderful moments I had shared with Aadhya di, and how our bond had grown stronger over the years. Seeing her find love and happiness brought a sense of fulfillment to my heart.

Amidst the applause and cheers, I couldn't resist the urge to join in the celebration. I rushed towards the stage, engulfing Aadhya di and Yash Jij in a tight embrace."Congratulations Di and Jij" I said. The room erupted in cheers and laughter as I expressed my overwhelming happiness for the couple.

In that moment, I realized that this was not just a celebration of Aadhya di's love, but a celebration of family, unity, and the beautiful journey of life. I knew that this engagement ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories to be cherished.

With a beaming smile on my face, I looked forward to being a part of my sister's journey and supporting her every step of the way. The bond between us sisters grew even stronger, and I couldn't wait to witness the love story of Aadhya di and Yash Jiju unfold in the years to come.
