Anchal's Pov:
"Hello Anchal, to what do I owe this pleasure?" Max Verstappen's familiar voice came through my phone screen as he answered my FaceTime call.
"Hi Max! I was actually wondering if you knew where I could find a nice villa in Monaco for 11 people."
Max tilted his head slightly, a curious smile forming. "I thought you and your brother had a place here."
"Yeah, we do," I explained, "but we were thinking of having a bachelor/bachelorette trip for my sister, and we need a space to fit all 11 people."
Max nodded thoughtfully. "I don't know much about places in Monaco even though I stay there. Let me ask Charles and let you know."
"I'll call you back?" I offered, expecting to give him some time.
"There's no need," he said, grinning. "I'm actually hanging out with the boys. We're playing FIFA." He turned to the side and called out, "Charles, you heard all that, right?"
"Yeah, I did," came Charles Leclerc's voice as he popped into the frame. "I actually own a property on the shore that could accommodate 11 people easily. If you give me the dates, I'll make sure it's ready for your use, and there will be a housekeeper available to help with anything you need. I can even send my chef over if needed."
I was surprised and grateful. "Wow, thank you so much, Charles! I'll send you the dates once they're confirmed, but it's probably by the end of this month. And I'm pretty sure we won't need a chef."
"Okay," Charles replied with a nod.
I thanked him and then glanced at Vihaan, who was sitting beside me with his mouth hanging open. Discreetly, I asked him, "Kya hua?"
"Are you talking to three-time world champion Max Verstappen?" Vihaan whispered, clearly starstruck.
I laughed. "Tum F1 fan ho?"
"Yes!" he said, his eyes wide with excitement.
"Max, this is Vihaan. His brother is marrying my sister. Turns out he's a fan," I introduced, moving to sit closer to Vihaan.
Max laughed, "Hello, Vihaan!"
Charles also chimed in, "Hello!"
Suddenly, Lando Norris and Alex Albon grabbed the phone from Max's hand, their faces appearing on the screen. "Hi! Did you forget about us?" Lando teased.
I laughed, "No boys, I didn't forget you."
They both greeted Vihaan with enthusiasm. "Hi, Vihaan!" they said in unison.
"Okay boys, we have a lot more planning to do," I said with a smile. "I'll catch up with you guys later. Bye."
"Bye!" they all chorused as I ended the call.
"Soooooo, you know all these F1 drivers? How?" Vihaan asked, clearly intrigued.
I smiled, leaning back into the sofa, ready to share my story. "It's a bit of a long one. You see, after I finished college and started Krial with Kriti, I was completely burnt out. For almost eight years, I hadn't taken a proper vacation. It was all work and no play, and it took a toll on me. I had several mental breakdowns, and my family noticed. They suggested I take a break before joining my father in the office. So, I decided to go to Monaco for some much-needed rest."
"Wow, that sounds intense," Vihaan said, his brow furrowing with concern.
"It was," I nodded. "So, I rented an apartment in Monaco and tried to unwind. After about ten days, Jay came to visit me. You know how outgoing he is. One day, we decided to play paddle at this exclusive club. While we were there, we saw Max and Lando playing on the adjacent court. Jay, being his usual friendly self, went up to them and started chatting. Before I knew it, we were all playing paddle together."
"No way! Just like that?" Vihaan asked, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"Yep, just like that," I confirmed. "Max and Lando were really nice. We ended up spending a lot of time together during my stay. Jay and I got to know them pretty well. They introduced us to a few other drivers too. It was a surreal experience, but it really helped me relax and recharge."
Vihaan shook his head in amazement. "I can't believe it. You just happened to meet them while playing paddle?"
I laughed. "Yeah, life's funny like that sometimes. But honestly, it was exactly what I needed. That break and those random friendships helped me recover and find my balance again."
"Kya baat hai, Anchal," Vihaan said, shaking his head. "Your life is like a movie."
"Bas, aise hi hai," I replied with a grin. "You never know what's around the corner."
