Author's POV:
Rahul and Shreya arrived at Vihaan's house and greeted his mother warmly.
"Good morning, aunty!" Rahul said with a cheerful smile.
"Good morning, beta," she replied, her face lighting up. "Vihaan upar apne kamre mai hai."
"Ha, aunty, we are going there," Shreya responded eagerly.
The two friends bounded up the stairs and found Vihaan deeply engrossed in his work. Without hesitation, they barged into his room and pounced on his bed, startling him.
Vihaan's POV:
I looked at my friends and smiled, feeling a bit of excitement bubbling inside me. Shreya immediately cut to the chase, "Itna urgent kya tha that we had to come home instead of directly meeting you guys at the mall?"
I grinned, trying to contain my excitement. "Well... I found a girl."
Rahul and Shreya shrieked in unison, "What?!"
I laughed at their reaction. "Itna kya chilla rahe ho, I said I found a girl, not kidnapped a girl."
Shreya was the first to recover. "Okay, you found a girl. Tell us about her. Who is she? What does she do? Where did you meet her?"
With a sigh and a smile, I began explaining everything to my best friends. I told them about Anchal, how we met, and the moments that made me realize how special she was. They listened intently, hanging on every word.
"So, all in all, I like her very much. I think I may even be falling for her," I admitted, feeling a bit vulnerable.
Rahul's eyes widened. "Wow, falling for her, huh? She must be special."
"Yeah, she is special," I said, nodding. "I've never felt this way about any of my previous partners."
Shreya raised an eyebrow. "Well, have you told her about it?"
"I haven't told her. I don't know if she feels the same way, which is why I called you guys here. I want you to help me today. I want to know if she likes me. And I need you guys to make sure none of the family members suspect anything. I think I'm going to try and flirt with her."
Rahul burst out laughing. "When was the last time you flirted with someone?"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm really charming when I need to be."
Just then, my mom called us downstairs. "Vihaan, Shreya, Rahul! Jaldi neeche aao, we need to leave. Aadhya's family is leaving and will be at the store in some time."
"Coming, Ma!" I shouted back. I turned to my friends with a determined look. "Let's do this."
I pulled up to the store and saw Aadhya's family already there. My eyes immediately searched for my angel, but I couldn't find her or her friends anywhere. Just then, Chachi asked Anchal's mother, "Bhabhi, where are the kids?"
Anchal's mother replied, "Woh Tanish ke cafe mai kuch problem hua tha, so they had to make a stop on the way. They must be on the way."
Just then, a Mercedes G-Wagon pulled up, and Anchal got out of the driver's seat, Tanish from the passenger seat, and Jay, Kriti, and Dhruv from the back. Anchal walked over to where everyone was standing. She stood beside me and said, "I'm so sorry, everyone. We had to take a detour, bohot wait karna pada sabko."
Anchal's outfit
I leaned in and whispered, "Apkeliye toh hum apke liye zindagi bhar intazar kar sakte hai."
Anchal blushed but acted like she didn't hear what I said. "Huh?"
"Kya," I replied with a wink.
She shook her head and said, "Kuch nahi."
We all walked inside the store. As soon as we walked in, I turned towards Shreya and nodded. She came over and started chatting with Kriti, while Rahul did the same with Jay and Dhruv. Anchal was left alone with me.
I looked at her and smiled. "You look like an angel. You look beautiful."
Anchal was caught off-guard by the sudden compliment and blushed. She then regained her composure, smirked, and said, "I might look like an angel, but I'm a devil in disguise."
She walked away after saying that. I thought to myself, She is a firecracker. Just when I thought I couldn't like her more. I shook my head at her retreating figure. Just then, she turned around and winked at me.
I kept a hand on my racing heart. She noticed and laughed. Everyone flocked around Aadhya Bhabhi, but Anchal stood in a corner, watching her sister shop. I walked over to her and said, "Hi."
"Hi," she replied.
I asked, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be out there helping your sister?"
Anchal turned towards me, her eyes sad despite the smile on her face. "She doesn't need my help anymore."
I could feel the emotions in her voice, resonating with how I felt about my brother. She asked me the same question, "Shouldn't you be helping your brother?"
I sighed, "As you said, he doesn't need my help anymore."
We stood there in silence for a few minutes, sharing an unspoken understanding. Just then, Anchal's mother called out to her, "Anchal, you should select clothes for yourself."
At the same time, my mother told me, "Vihaan, select clothes for yourself."
Anchal and I looked at each other and smiled. She glanced around to find her friends busy selecting clothes along with mine. She turned to me and asked, "Do you want to shop around together?"
My heart melted at the suggestion, and I immediately agreed. "Of course."
As we walked through the aisles, I tried to lighten the mood. "You know, you have a great taste in clothes. Maybe you can help me pick something."
She chuckled, "Acha ji? Let's see what we can find then."
We started browsing the racks, and I felt a sense of ease being around her. It was like we understood each other's unspoken feelings, finding comfort in our shared experiences. It was more than just shopping; it felt like the beginning of something special.
Hey guys! I'm back with another update. Hope you are enjoying the story so far.
I really struggled with writing in Vihaan's POV. I hope this is good. If you have any constructive criticism please leave them in the comments. I'll try my best to update often. I've been feeling uninspired lately and hopefully it will be over soon. Also I haven't flirted in a long time now, so it is a little difficult to write the flirting scenes.
Remember to show some love with votes, shares, and your wonderful comments. Let me know how you like it. Thank you for reading this.
Love,
ARAK xoxo
