After we narrowly escaped Namek, we were flying through space for a few days. I had regained some energy, and even began to heal somewhat. Kakarot and I were heading towards a planet called 'Yardrat'. It was pre-programmed into the pods, so we decided to head there, heal, and head to Earth.

Once we landed on Yardrat, however, we decided to stay and learn some special techniques before leaving. We stayed there for about a year, with us learning more about each other. I learned of his past adventures with Krillin and Piccolo, and that he was an idiot. Like, the biggest idiot I know. And he learned more about my past, how it was like growing up under Frieza's rule.

All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable time. We even learned how to go Super Saiyan on command. During this training, we got Super Saiyan much stronger than it was against Frieza, so I doubt we would have much trouble from now on.

But soon enough we decided to leave. Kakarot was missing his friends and family, and I couldn't wait to try the food on Earth. Kakarot told me how good it is, so I was very excited. And so, we said goodbye to the Yardratians and left the planet.

As we were a few hours away from Earth, I sensed something. "Hey Kakarot," I said through the pods communication systems. "Do you sense that? It kinda feels like-" "Freezer! But who's that with him?" That's when I noticed the other large power with him. "That's King Cold! He's Frieza's father. B-but how did Frieza survive?" Kakarot didn't have an answer for me.

"Should we use instant transmission to get to Earth? They probably need our help." I asked Kakarot. But before he could respond, we sensed another strong power on Earth. This one seemed strange, kind of familiar in a way, but nothing either of us recognized. Suddenly, this mysterious presence powered up and completely eradicated Frieza! Kakarot and I were stunned by this, but then this guy killed King Cold as well!

"Holy shit, Kakarot! This person just killed Frieza AND his father at the same time! Let's go to Earth and meet them." "No" Kakarot refused. "We might scare everyone if we just teleport in. Plus, this will give us a dramatic entrance." After all the time I had spent with Kakarot, I wasn't too surprised by his suggestion. "Never change, Kakarot. Never change." And so we continued on our way, set to arrive in a few hours.

Hours later, we arrived in some random wasteland. All Kakarot's friends, (and Vegeta), were there, so he said hello to them. Bulma then pointed us to someone, the man responsible for killing Frieza. He looked like a teenager. He had purple hair, earth clothes, and a sword. Although I'd never seen him before, he seemed familiar for some reason. He approached Kakarot and I, and asked to speak with us in private. We agreed, and flew a short distance away.

"Hi, I'm Trunks. I'm curious, when you two fought Frieza, you were Super Saiyan's, correct?" We nodded, and transformed. He then surprised us by turning into one as well. But before we could react, he suddenly attacked Kakarot with his sword, with him blocking every slash with just a finger. "Wow, you really are as strong as mom said you were." Trunks then powered down, with us doing so as well. "Now I know I can reveal to you both my secret. I'm the son of Bulma and Vegeta, and I'm from the future." We were shocked by this, and I could hear Piccolo laughing loudly in the distance.

"Listen, three years from now two androids will appear. They were created by the Red Ribbon Army, and they're very powerful. Each of them on their own dwarfs even Frieza's power. They killed everyone. The only ones that survived were me, my mother, and Gohan." Once again, we were shocked by this news. "Wait, what about us?" Kakarot asked. "Rika died against the Androids, but you died of heart failure the year before." "What?! Why? How?!" "High cholesterol. According to the coroner, too much bacon."

(Yes, I'm using the DBZ Abridged reasoning. It's funny, and there's too much debate on how Goku really got the heart virus. Also, if I had him get it on Yardrat, then Rika would have it too, and that would be a problem. You can use whatever explanation you want, but I'm sticking with this.)

He continued. "Luckily, my mother developed medication to help you." Kakarot then started asking the important questions. "Is it Grape flavored?"

"I don't know, yes?"

"Cause I don't like Grape."

"THEN IT'S BACON FLAVOR" Trunks was clearly getting annoyed by this point. "Well, I should get back to the future. Oh, and please keep my identity a secret. I could cease to exist if my parents found out." We agreed, and he started to fly off. "Wait!" I shouted to my nephew, flying after him. "How did I die? Was it cool, or was I just one-shot by an android?" Trunks seemed amused, like he expected this sort of question from me. "Well, once you discovered fighting them wouldn't work, you tried a different tactic. You began flirting with one of the androids, trying to seduce them. The other one didn't like this, so he blasted you to dust."

I was shocked by his words, but it does sound like something I would do. "Okay, have fun in the future!" I said, instantly regretting it when I remembered the future's shit. He said bye, and headed to his time machine, going back to the future.

I headed back to the group, where Kakarot had already explained everything to them. They turned to look at me, some with hostility, and others with nervousness. "Yo, Vegey, nice shirt!" I said to my brother after seeing the pink shirt he was wearing. That seemed to ease the tension a little, with some of the group chuckling, (those who weren't terrified of Vegeta). He seemed at a loss for words, until he said, "Fuck off", and flew away.

I watched him leave, ready to train for the next three years.
