The Wrath of a Saiyan

14: The Tournament

'This might be entertaining...' I thought to myself before the kids tournament began. Well, I was kind of right. While it was funny watching these kids trying to fight and hurt each other, it was still kind of boring since they didn't know how to fight. Each fight was taking a long time, and I was starting to get bored. Luckily, Trunk's fight soon began. Unfortunately, it ended in just a few seconds. It was still funny though. That kid was so arrogant, it felt satisfying to watch Trunks kick him in the air, letting the brat fall to the ground unconscious.

After that, it was more of the same. Goten and Trunks would defeat their opponents with just one attack, and eventually they both made it to the final round. That was the first good match, and it was very suspenseful. But, at the end of it, Trunks ended up winning by sending Goten flying into the crowd. 

Once that was over, we began to select the brackets for the adult tournament. We would pick a ball out of a box, the number on it designating when we are supposed to fight. I got number 16, and was supposed to fight some guy named Yamu. 18 was supposed to fight Mr. Satan, Krillin was fighting a human, Piccolo was fighting some creepy guy named Shin, and after the other fights, Kakarot is facing Vegeta. This is very surprising. 'Why are they fighting in the first round? I wanted to fight both of them, there's no way in hell Vegeta wins.'

As harsh as my thoughts seemed, it was very likely that Kakarot would win against Vegeta. Kakarot was stronger than Vegeta when he died, and it's likely that he's been doing nothing but training over the last seven years. He also probably learned new techniques and abilities, while all Vegeta did was train in higher levels of gravity.

But anyways, onto the fights. Krillin beat his opponent, pretty effortlessly. I watched Piccolo enter the ring, and was shocked when he forfeit the match. He was so scared, it looked like he shit himself! 'Ah but that's not possible, Piccolo doesn't eat food. But why did he forfeit?'

After that confusing interaction, the guy named Spopovich beat the shit out of Gohan's girlfriend, Videl. That match was absolutely brutal, he completely destroyed her. It was one of the worst beatings I had seen in a long time. After that match, it was time for Gohan to fight some guy named Kibito. He seemed to be aligned with that Shin guy, so I was interested to see what would happen. 

At the start of the fight, Gohan immediately powered up to Super Saiyan 2. After this brief display of his power, Gohan was suddenly attacked by Spopovich and Yamu, getting stabbed with some strange device. Kakarot and I were ready to jump in to help, but Piccolo stopped us. 

"Stop! Listen to Shin's plan, he is the Supreme Kai!" This statement shocked us. Over my life, I had heard legends of the Kais, how there are four of them who watch over the universe, and how there is the Grand Kai who watches over them. Kakarot had even trained with King Kai, learning several techniques from him. But I had never heard of the Supreme Kai before, though Kakarot looked a little intimidated.

Shin told us to let those two take Gohan's energy, and that he would be fine. Once they drained Gohan's power, they flew off. Shin told us to follow them, and we all got ready to follow. But before I left, I turned to the group. "Hey, I'll catch up. I just have to tell 18 what's going on." They agreed, and I rushed to find my wife. After some searching, I finally found her. "Hey, 18! Something's going on, and some of us are going to check it out. Are you going to stay here for the tournament?"

"Yeah, I think you guys can handle this. Be safe." She kissed me on the cheek, and I flew off. After a minute or so, I managed to catch up to the group. Shin was beginning to explain to us what was going on.

"Millions of years ago, the Terrible Majin Buu was created from the manifestation of all the evil energy spread throughout the universe. He was a purely chaotic being, reducing entire galaxies to dust. Buu was controlled by a dark wizard by the name of Bibidi, and the Kais attempted to stop them. There were once five Kais, all thousands of times stronger than the mortal you all know as Frieza. I am the only remaining Supreme Kai. Buu killed all the others. Buu grew so powerful that Bibidi struggled to control him. He had to seal Buu away to transport him to whatever worlds he wanted destroyed, and I was eventually able to get rid of him. I couldn't try to destroy Buu's egg, out of fear that I would accidentally release him from his imprisonment, so I left him alone. This proved to be a mistake, as unbeknownst to me, Bibidi had a son.

His son, going by the name 'Babidi', desired to finish his fathers work in taking over the universe. For many years, he had traveled the cosmos, recruiting powerful warriors to do his bidding. The most powerful of which, Debura, the king of the Demon Realm. Now, Babidi has traveled to this planet, in order to harness the energy of its most powerful warriors so that he may free Majin Buu from his seal. We must stop them before it's too late."

After that long explanation, we were all left in shock. 'Is there really someone that powerful? How have I not heard of Buu before now?' Seemingly, Shin could read my thoughts, so he explained. "There aren't many worlds that are aware of Majin Buu. Most of them were destroyed by him, and those that weren't destroyed have forgotten of the terror and threat that Buu possessed, since it has been millions of years since he was sealed away. Of course, there are some who know of Buu. But he was mostly heard of in legends, and passed down through generations as stories and folk lore."

As we continued to fly towards Babidi's ship, I continued to ponder the question of Majin Buu. After some time, I finally managed to recall a brief mention of Majin Buu from many years ago.

It was only a few years after the destruction of planet Vegeta, and as was still a kid under the control of Frieza. I was walking through the hallways of his ship, when I overheard a conversation between him and his father, King Cold.

"My army is the greatest in the Universe! I have hundreds of planets under my rule, and I am the most powerful emperor throughout the cosmos. No one can stop me!" Frieza proclaimed arrogantly. King Cold didn't waste any time correcting his son. "Now, now, Frieza. While you are certainly one of the most powerful beings in the universe, there are still several beings who far surpass you in strength, and you must fear them."

Frieza was unamused by this proclamation made by his father. "What, do you mean the Super Saiyan? Most of them are all gone, because of-" King Cold interrupted him before he could continue. "No, no, son, the Super Saiyan is just a worthless monkey legend. Don't pay any mind to it. No, the beings that I am referring to are very powerful. I already told you about Lord Beerus, in fact I do believe that you have already met him on several occasions before he fell asleep. The other being who you should avoid at all costs is Majin Buu. He is a terrifyingly powerful being of pure evil. He had the power to destroy entire galaxies with a single blast. Even the Kai's fear him. He hasn't been spotted for millions of years, but he is likely still alive. Should he ever resurface, I want you to avoid him at all costs. Understand?"

After that speech, Frieza was terrified. He had never seen his father so worked up about something. Frieza nodded, and I left the area before I could be spotted.

Back in the present, I was shook from my memory when we arrived at Babidi's ship. Once we got there, we his behind some rocks on a nearby mountain. We watched as Spopovich and Yamu showed up and were confronted by two people, who Shin confirmed to be Babidi and Debura. After handing him the device that they stabbed into Gohan, both Spopovich and Yamu were mercilessly killed by Babidi. After that he headed into the ship, leaving Debura outside. Suddenly, he turned towards us and disappeared.

Dabura appeared in front of us mere moments later, with his hand outstretched towards Kibito. Before any of us could react, Kibito was eviscerated by a powerful Ki blast from Dabura. He then turned towards us with a smirk, spitting on Piccolo, Krillin and I. The spit landed on us before we could move, leaving us all confused as to what was happening. 'W-why did he spit on us?! That's disgusting...' 

But then, Shin began shouting in terror. I looked down to where the spit landed on me, only to see that I was turning to stone. We were all horrified by what was happening, and I couldn't even say anything before I was completely encased in stone.

'18's gonna be pissed...' I thought, before losing consciousness

A/N: Sorry for the long wait. I'm going through a lot of stuff and lost the motivation to write, but I'm back. 

Quick question. Should I refer to her as 18, or use her human name 'Lazuli'? I don't have a preference, but I can go back and change it if you guys want me to.
