The Wrath of a Saiyan

15: Majin Buu

I regained consciousness some time later. I don't know what happened, but I was no longer stone. As I looked around, I noticed Krillin was also no longer stone. I turned to my side, noticing Goten, Trunks, and what looked to be the shattered remains of Piccolo's statue on the ground behind them. I was going to say something, but I noticed Piccolo start to regenerate.

"Aunt Rika? Krillin? Why were you two statues?" Goten and Trunks asked, before being struck with realization. "W-wait, does that mean... Goten, we can't tell anyone about this."

"Tell anyone about what?" Piccolo asked, scaring the shit out of the two boys. "H-how are you okay?" Trunks stammered, clearly in shock that Piccolo was alive. "As long as my head isn't damaged, I can regenerate if I have enough energy." I was also surprised by this, so I continued the conversation. "Wait wait wait, since when could you do that?" 

"After we dealt with Cell, I started to wonder if I could regenerate like him. I discovered that I can, to an extent, but it takes a lot of energy. But we have a more important issue to discuss. I suppose that's Majin Buu down there?" Piccolo stated as he pointed down the mountain. Sure enough, there were two people down there. Babidi, and someone I presumed to be Majin Buu. 

I was astounded at his power. 'I-Is this happening? That power is... I don't even have words for how powerful Buu is...' But despite how worried I was, I knew I had to put on a brave face. 'I'm one of the strongest people on the planet. If they see I'm worried, everyone will lose hope...' With those thoughts, I turned to Krillin. "Krillin! I need you to get back to the tournament. Gather everyone up and bring them to the lookout. They'll be safe there, things are about to get ugly." Krillin nodded before flying away.

Piccolo then turned to me. "What are we going to do now?" I turned to him, about to respond, when someone appeared in front of Babidi and Buu. 'Vegeta?! What the hell is he doing?!' He looked ready to fight, so I turned to Piccolo, "Piccolo, watch Goten and Trunks. I'm gonna help Vegeta." Then I flew down before he could reply.

When I got there, Vegeta and I looked at each other, shocked. He was surprised that I was no longer stone, and I was wondering what had happened to him. He looked beat up, and there was a Majin tattoo on his forehead. But I spoke before he could say anything. "Vegeta, I don't know what happened while I was stone, but it doesn't matter right now! We need to work together to beat this guy." Vegeta reluctantly agreed, and we both flew towards the Majin.

For the next few minutes, we made no progress. Buu was a babbling idiot, but he was strong. And every attack that either of us landed on him just healed moments later. I then started attacking, while Vegeta began charging an attack. He fired it, and it went right through Buu, creating a gaping hole in his chest. Just when we thought we had won, Buu just regenerated, completely healing the hole.

We were both stunned by this, but Buu was starting to get mad. He began to power up, and created a massive pink explosion that we didn't have enough time to defend. Several moments later, Vegeta and I were standing in a massive crater. He was holding his arm, with blood dripping from his head. As for me, I was holding my head, as it had taken the most damage from the explosion. 

"I don't know how to beat him..." Vegeta whispered. "W-we have to try something. Some kind of weakness, anything." I nodded in agreement, before Buu appeared before us. He effortlessly swatted me away, further damaging my head. He then began to pummel Vegeta, hitting him with energy blasts before wrapping him up with a piece of himself. Once he had Vegeta tied up, Buu laughed before further pummeling my brother, jumping on him like a trampoline. 

I exploded with rage, rushing at Buu. I kicked him away from Vegeta, with Buu getting back up soon after, looking pissed. "You... You stop Buu's playing!" With that, Buu rushed at me, landing a devastating punch to my gut. I just took it, and fired a powerful mouth beam into Buu's face. But the blast just went into his mouth, with Buu swallowing it! He then spit it back out, blasting me in the face with my own attack. As I was launched away, Buu appeared above me and spiked my body into the ground.

As I struggled to get up, Buu grabbed me by the tail, picking me up and repeatedly slamming me back into the ground, treating me like a rag doll. I knew I needed to get out of this situation, so I began charging energy into my feet. I then fired a powerful ki blast from my feet, right into Buu's chest. This attack not only worked as an effective attack against Buu but it also launched me away from him. 

Once I got up, I saw that Buu had already regenerated from my attack, and was rushing toward me. I used Instant Transmission to teleport behind him, grabbing him by his antenna and blasting him in the back of the head. I staggered, now out of breath, as Buu's headless body fell forward. I still held his detached antenna in my hand, which proved to be a mistake as it slithered up my body and wrapped around my neck.

I began frantically grasping at it as Buu choked me, but I couldn't get it off. As I fell to my knees, beginning to black out, the part of Buu that was wrapped around my throat was blasted off by a beam. I looked in that direction, seeing that Piccolo had fired his special beam cannon, which was precise enough to break it off my neck. 

I looked over at Vegeta, seeing that he had been freed from his containment by Goten and Trunks. I was then shocked to see Vegeta hugging Trunks. 'Vegeta... showing love for his son? This must be the end...' I then witnessed Vegeta knocking out Trunks with a neck chop, and then he punched Goten in the stomach to knock him out. Piccolo and I walked over, and Vegeta turned to look at us. "You two! Get my son and the Kaka-tot out of here! I'm gonna finish Buu off, right here and now!"

"Vegeta, what are you saying? Not even the both of us are enough for Buu! Let me turn into a Golden Great Ape, and-" My brother cut me off before I could continue. "No! Listen to me sister, your tail is damaged from Buu's attack earlier. Your tail could rip off if you tried to transform. I have an attack that could finally beat this monster." I still tried to object, so Vegeta continued, "Please! Rika, please let me do this. I must atone for what I have done. I'm... I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for messing up with Cell, I'm sorry for being an asshole for all these years, I'm sorry for all of it. Please, allow me to atone for my mistakes." I reluctantly nodded, knowing that I wouldn't be able to convince my brother not to do this. 

He then turned to Piccolo, and asked, "When I die, will I see Kakarot?" Piccolo seemed surprised by the question, stifling a laugh as he replied, "What? Y-you?! No." 

"Okay, fuck you! But, fair." And with that, Piccolo took Goten and Trunks and flew away. I turned to do the same, but I stopped first. "Vegeta" I called out. He turned to face me, curious about what I have to say. I looked Vegeta in the eyes and said, "I forgive you." We shared a small smile, before I followed Piccolo.

In the distance, we watched the ensuing conflict. I held a strong face as I watched my brother blow himself up to defeat Majin Buu.

Only then did I allow myself to cry

A/N: Wow, two uploads in a week? I'm very surprised. I got some motivation to write this part, and the next one will be released soon. The fight is kind of rushed, but I'm saving the real fight for Super Buu.
